    • 2014-08-11 attacks per gcd will no longer exceed one when tanking large amounts of targets. once all devastates are replaced, any remaining cast slots will replace revenge
    • 2014-08-11 fixed the following skills to no longer be blockable: thunderclap, deep wounds, heroic throw, heroic leap, dragon roar, shockwave, stormbolt
    • 2014-08-10 undid resolve change i made yesterday. it was double dipping into aoe resolve multiplier
    • 2014-08-10 reordered results page to primary > secondary > tertiary, with some semblance of historical value

Can anyone confirm if our crit block is subject to diminishing returns or not?

If not, it looks like we crit block cap at 2849 rating? (pre buffs) (a very real possibility)

    EDIT:
assuming not, it looks like panda's can hit crit block cap in 660 pvp gear. I expect raid gear to be higher ilevel than that.... so likely everyone can.

4120 mastery w/buffs is your 100% crit block

    • 2014-08-11 Deep Wounds damage modified to match build 18716 (had it doing 300% ap before, now 5+60%AP)
    • 2014-08-11 Revenge damage modified slightly to match (build 18716)
    • 2014-08-11 worst DTPS will now work correctly when at crit-block cap
    • 2014-08-11 addressed spike index bug around/beyond crit-block mastery cap
    • 2014-08-11 fixed bug where pandaren's weren't getting double the effect of mastery food
    • 2014-08-11 capped crit block at 100%
    • 2014-08-11 removed 1.5 multiplier on stamina delta value. (it doesn't appear as if gems/enchants will have it)

that 5+60% ap over 15 seconds is nowhere near correct.
it's more like that much per tick?

can't get the numbers to line up quite correctly - thoughts?

seems they removed all the 2nd-stat flasks in the latest build and only left str/agi/int flasks (stam not mentioned, should still exist)

judging by the items left they are,

    500 strength - http://wod.wowhead.com/spell=156080
    750 stamina - http://wod.wowhead.com/spell=156084

i'll likely wait until the tooltips match the spell effect before pushing the new ones. (unless we have a source on the values they're changing them to)

if you want to modify them on your version of the sheet, they're just in the E column on the listOptions tab.

Did they replace with anything? Or are we absent a bonus at 99?

    edit:
    nm, every other level now.

Well the rest of the removed perks got baked in to their parent abilities so they're baseline. Not so for Improved charge; it's just gone.

    v6.01.013
    • 2014-08-18 added raw hit calculator on tools tab
    • 2014-08-18 updated heroic strike damage calculation - no damage change (build 18738)
    • 2014-08-18 updated execute damage calculation (build 18738)
That execute change... A 30 rage ability now does less damage than devastate. I guess I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, and assume that they're trying to clean up fury before they make a numbers pass on prot.

so what are some early conclusions you draw from this spreadsheet?

Unfortunately I can't put it in to perspective in regards to WoD raiding since I haven't done any raid tests but as far as I'm concerned it looks like I would want to focus on a combination between bonus armor and crit inasmuch as it reduces worst spike damage as well as the probability of max spike the most efficient. Furthermore crit provides slightly more dps than the other secondary stats while performing really well on EDTPS. I assume this has to do with the newly designed Riposte. On live I value EDTPS fairly low and is one of my least concerns but from what I read how they want to design healing in WoD it is definitely on my radar.

That being said it seems the secondary stats are fairly close together which is a good thing in my opinion. Because let's say you get a suboptimal Mystic piece of gear which doesn't fit your gearing strategy it will probably still be an upgrade to your Heroic piece which is often not the case on live.

Also what is your take on racial traits balancing? I think on live the differences hardly matter, however this first look on the spreadsheet looks rather dramatic it looks like some races are heavily favored for tanking.

Don't be fooled too much by the green/red boxes associated with racial changes, try to keep an eye on the actual numbers. As an example, the EH may appear higher on one race than another simply because it has one more base stam as a racial trait. That being said, pandaren and night elf are both very solid.

In terms of stat weights, I'm currently trying to consolidate the spike index value with the TMI values from simC. Until I get this buttoned down, conclusions drawn on this value could very well be wrong. In terms of reducing TMI on simC, if you have a decent profile setup Anger Management is super solid. Right now I don't have cooldown usage/uptime affecting the index in the spreadsheet.

Furthermore, I need to get some realistic numbers for mythic boss damage and stats for a heroic geared toon before I can really advocate one stat over another.

unyielding strikes is bugged in the spread sheet, i had assumed it consumed the buff when you used it. should have some time tomorrow to fix.

the talent is actually pretty solid:

    hey buoy,

it's possible that stat-based haste and the 5% haste buff are being combined improperly in your spreadsheet (cell b55).

I recall the net effect of haste to be multiplicative between all sources, but maybe this has been changed? Also, you're included racial haste in a particular way (also effectively additive).
