ToT Tank only guide -- just the facts

I've only tanked the LFR versions. The difference between these and 10 man normal seem neglible (I've watched the first four vids). Seems like it would be more efficient to have another tank just point out the differences between the two as far as tanks are concerned. Does that make sense? A cheat sheet that doesn't care about dps and healing.

first 3 aren't really much different, they just hit harder and have more health.

Tortos: Snapping bite hits for about 350K if you don't time your active mitigation for it. If the raid fucks up kicking the shells you will wipe to furious stone breath.

Ji-kun: you may want/need to mop up the green shit when you're not tanking.

Durumu: the colourblind phase works differently, you'll probably want both tanks to stack in the yellow cone and just follow it round. Lingerring gaze pools also slow, so shouldn't be trode in whislt running the maze

Primordius: you will need to pay attnetion to his extra abilities, Metabolic boost can be nasty if you're not ready to counter it and Volatile Pathogen (massive dot) and Acidic Spines (missiles with splash damage) is a concern compared to LRF

Dark animus is very different. you don't really want to take more than 2 Small golems at a time, you want as few as possible medium Golems (i.e none), and you don't really want to take more than 1 large golems (don't take more than 4 stacks of explosive slam), once DA is up himself everyone should nuke that, and you should have a DPS break anima ring for you.

Qon: doesn't really change, probably want to swap on 2 stacks of impale rather than just solo tanking it

Twins: swap on 2 stacks of the fire debuff

Lei shen: swap on decapitate, run away when its being cast at you, far away. Fusion slash's knockback is huge, don't get knocked off. Be aware of the power conduit levels, don't fuck it up make sure you move him at the right time so you don't overload the worng conduits. Bouncing bolts will continue to bounce (and spawn adds) until they are caught. Lightning whips floor residue hurts

Hunters, Just get a Sporebat, most LFRs will be missing that buff.

If you have two small golems on you, stand between them, they won't link then.

    * Jin'rokh: Just in case you didn't know: he always throws the tank to the farthest statue away from himself when he can, so we always pull him slightly off center at the start and after each Lightning phase so the DPS/heals/other tank know where to go for the pool.

    * Horridon: Save your heavy damage reduction cooldowns for Jalak. He hits harder than Horridon right off the bat, and Horridon can be held for awhile even with 4+stacks of the Triple Puncture debuff by the other tank; you want your DPS to burn Jalak as hard as possible, and staying alive during Jalak makes the difference between one tank the whole time on Horridon and being able to swap off.

    * Council: Whenever Kaz'rajin rolls into the Sul + Malakk group, interrupt Sul's next cast of Sand Bolt and move so your melee isn't standing in Kaz'rajin's crater (where they take AoE damage).

    * Tortos: If you are the bat tank, make a macro to /tar Vampiric Cave Bat and mark the target of its target with an orange circle. Tap that when DBM says "Vampiric Cave Bats" and you'll know which healer is in danger of becoming a bat snack and go towards them to intercept the bats on the way in.

    * Megaera: If the tank damage is too much late in the fight, try switching heads with the other tank after the 2nd breath.
