Am I headed in the right direction, really confused!

So I'm seeing paly's with 2pc def gear or w/e and tanking ToT. I am all def gear and just wanting to get all your opinions as to: this is great, this isn't and ur talents are kinda sketchy. I feel I'm on the right track, but when I start to look at #'s, I get so easily confused then frustrated. Thanks

well unless it has int, agi or crit on it, it is pally tanking gear.

Oof, you scared me for a moment. Thought they brought back the defense stat and I was getting flashbacks of Ciderhelm dying because of 539 Defense and getting crit in the face, thus wiping the team...

First priority: Get 15% Expertise.
Second priority: Get items with haste or with mastery.

I once tanked heroic ICC25 with under 520 Def skill

I'm just checking to see what maybe I could improve. Noone in the guild understands why we take from parry or dodge and turn it to haste or expertise. I explain and yea, huge discussion. I've tried all reforges, Haste or Mastery or Expertise and so on. Seems to me that the expertise reforge route is the best.

7.5 hit > 15% exp > haste > mastery > parry/dodge

Unless you're tanking a specific boss with a quite sizable Tank Killing Laser of Doom, you really shouldn't need all that stamina. Unless you're tanking 25m? I recommend favoring haste>stamina in your gemming and then swap your trinkets around on a fight by fight basis. And definitely get your expertise to 15% at any cost. I would recommend a weapon chain > colossus if you don't want to lose stats from gems to expertise.

Ok just a recap of things, I'm now at the 7.5hit, 15% exp, 10% haste and so on and so on. If someone notices something out of the ordinary, please let me know. Thanks again for all the awesome input, has help'd immensly!
