Number of Healers in a 25M Team

    Hey Everyone,

For those of you that raid 25M (specifically normal mode), how many healers do you utilize each night?

Currently, my guild (Sigil, Lightning's Blade [A] US) runs 6 healers on average. A couple fights, usually the on-farm bosses that barely require healing, we drop to 5. However, after some thought and analysis on our current progression fights (mid way through HoF), I noticed a lot of "Bloat" healing - i.e. overhealing, too much "top everyone off", etc. If the healing team were to utilize a more efficient recovery model (hots over direct heals, use dps's self healing like spirit-boind, etc.), we could potentially drop to 5 healers for the majority of the time. Then for fights that 5 just isn't cutting it, we can off-spec a 6th healer.

The primary benefit of this format is the flexibility to off-spec the 6th healer, rather than have a mandatory 6th healer. This allows the team to drop down to 6-7 healers (5 in raid, 1-2 spare) vs. 7-8 healers (6 in raid, 1-2 spare) and pick up a dps (dps are typically easier to recruit than healers, in addition to the fact that recruiting for 25M is hard enough already). Furthermore, with dual-spec, most cast hybrids have enough gear to be a support healer if needed.

Let me know what you guys do in your 25M teams!

25m Heroic: (the class stacking works fine for normal as well just on a less intense requirement).

    MGV:
    Boss 1: 5-6 healers
    Boss 2: 6 healers
    Boss 3: 5 healers
Boss 4: 5-6 healers - Manditory at least 1 disc priest/shaman (PWS or SLT)
    Boss 5: 5 healers
Boss 6: 5-6 healers - advised 2 pally healers, shaman, disc priest and druid

    HoF:
    Boss 1: 6 healers
    Boss 2: 6 healers
Boss 3: 6 healers - advised to have at least 1 disc priest pref 2, 1 holy pally, 1-2 shamans, 1 monk, 1 druid if needed
    Boss 4: 6 healers
    Boss 5: 6 healers
    Boss 6: 7-8 healers - advised 2 disc priests, 1-2 shamans, 1 monk, 1-2 pally's (tank healing full time) and 1-2 druids.

    ToES:
Boss 1: 6 healers (elite version) - advised 1-2 disc priests, 1-2 shamans, 1-2 druids/monks, 1 pally healer on tank healing FT.
Boss 2: 7 healers - Manditory at least one monk and/or shaman (preferably 2 shamans and one monk, needed for enrage timer) 1 pally healer, 1-2 holy priests, 1-2 druids
    Boss 3: 6 healers
Boss 4: 6-7 healers - advised to have 1-2 disc priests, 1-2 shamans, 1 holy pally, 1 monk or 1 druid.

Note the ones I haven't specified doesn't really matter what classes you bring to heal as cd's are not required for main strats.
