I think in order to survive the long period of time until MoP releases simply cancel your account for a little while. Doing so will give you a rest from WoW, save you money and time to do other things with your life, and will give you that craving to play again. Once MoP releases you just simply activate your account and it will feel fresh and relieving to play WoW again. This is what I'm doing and so far it's working great.
