I think this virtual instancing of the dead areas for making them at least have afew other people present might be a function of that "Cloud" technology you see on all the tech forums......... You no longer have to assign population to a single server, just the "Farm" for the time zone. Your realm is really virtualized across a bunch of servers- lag drops, queue times dissapper for realm log ons.......... Basically coolness is achieved.....
