Advise when to switch to fire for raiding

I just hit 85 and would like to be a competent mage when it comes to raid dps.

I am looking for some tips on when should I switch to fire and any gear advice. Also any mods or anything else I would need would be helpful. Thank you for taking a look.

I can't tell you when going Fire would be a DPS increase, but I can tell you that getting experience with the spec you plan to raid with is more important than your immediate DPS numbers in 5-mans or LFR.

If you plan on raiding Fire, go Fire.

Agreed. Fire will generally always be a dps increase over arcane once your over ~375 ish average ilvl I would guess.
