Colossal Smash Clipping

I have read much about colossal smash and am still confused as to what clipping it is. I understand clipping rend so I have it on my cooldown bar to watch, but colossal smash, I don't know. It can appear on my bar up to 3 times, it procs all the time. When do I use it and when is it considered clipping. Please explain.

clipping (to my knowledge) will be if you apply it before it falls off.

So if you re-apply CS while CS is up on your target you are wasting the time remaining on the first CS.
It would look like this.
1.000: CS applied
3.000: CS procs
3.500: CS re-applied

Now by re-applying CS 2.5 seconds before CS would have ended you wasted a GCD where CS would have been up. Now when CS falls off the next button you hit will be a dps loss because have you had waited for CS, CS would still be up.

Are you sure you're talking about Colossus Smash and not Raging Blow or Slam? Colossus Smash does not proc.

It does proc if you're an Arms Warrior.

I believe the point of (avoiding) clipping is to wait as long as possible with refreshing CS when you get a proc so get the most uptime out of it (so wiat a sec or 2 untill it's pretty much run out to refresh and you gain more overall CS duration)
