Help with tanking

I'm kind of a noob at tanking and have searched the forums for an answer(s) to a problem I have when tanking and I can't quite seem to find what I'm looking for.

The problem I'm having is when I engage multiple mobs or even just a boss that there is so much going on my screen that I can't see what's going on! There's too much clutter from the npc's and spells and attacks that sometimes I can't even see when a mob I had targeted has died and don't have another targeted. Also, I may not see when maybe a mob has turned on another player or decided to leave me and go after, say....the healer!

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Get tidy plates and threat plates which will help and I know a while back there was a few fights that the spell effects were making it hard to see so I turned them down in the options which made it easier to see maybe that will help you

Ok, thank for the tips. I have tidyplates threat plates but will also turn down the spell graphics.

It helped me a lot when I resigned to have to spread my attacks.

Just spread some love around, and the mobs will stick with you a lot better.
