trying to find this addon

Hi

I have seen alot of wow videos which have a cool down reminder. It shows up in the middle of the screen in the forum of a big picture of the spell or cool down which has just come up.

Does anyone know what this addon is or could be?

You'll have to be more specific in your question, perhaps a screenshot or a video. There are quite a few cooldown monitors with this function. That's like asking for "that boss mod that puts timer bars on your screen", which basically describes about every boss mod ever made. Sadly if the question isn't specific enough, then neither is the answer.

Also, there is an entire forum topic just for this type of question called Addon Identification Requests, you don't need to create a separate topic.

IJust download fortexocist off curse. Apply the splash function in the cooldown bar. That will get you what you're looking for.
