Squeezing out some DPS while tanking

Is there something/anything that I can do to push out some more dps? Currently sitting at about 6-8k. Our bear tank is doing 10-15k so just wondering what can be done to match or at least close the gap some.

Do you need piercing howl? if not ditch it, and Bloodcraze pick up war academy and Deep wounds, Ditch either THunderstruck or Imp Revenge to max those out (TS is better but Imp.rev makes Rage easier to manage). Drop Gag order, totally useless talent for raiding, fill out Incite.

Drop either GoCommanding Shout or GoIntimidating shout, pick up GoBerseker rage, use berserker rage on CD.

your rotations is offyour priorities are
1. Shield slamming
2. Maintaining Rend: if it's down put it up, if its got <3secs left Thunderclap to refresh it
3. Try and shorten SS's CD with SnB procs (prioritize Devastate over Revenge unless rage is an issue) skip this is SS has less than 1.5seconds on its CD
4. hit it with your trucks: Shockwave will usually be your hardest hitting move followed by CB and HT then Dev
5. heroic strike, if you're above 50 rage you should be pressing this. on a decent fight like baleroc or majordomo this should be around 33% of your damage.

Keep Shield block on CD, keep Zerker rage on CD, this should mean you can keep Inner rage on CD too. Try to use Recklessness in sync with Shield block, either on the pull if initial threats an issue, or with Lust if your raid has a predetermined Burn phase, in any case make sure you use it as often as you can in a fight. if you have alot of adds on you, make sure you pop retaliation too.

^ Tengenstein knows his stuff. Listen! Also, keep in mind that bears rely on agility for dodge, armor, and ATTACK POWER, thus stack the hell out of it. Thus, they hit like a bus at terminal velocity in a flat spin falling from the sky to land on a turtle, which results in some really shiny DPS for a tank.

I've had bears do well over 26k dps on heroic fights.

Stance dancing is pretty critical, you can pop into arms and get a decent damage bonus when your not actively holding the boss.
