You can still use it to shuffle the threat list (drop a HoSalv on a clothie so if Shannox kills the tank he will hit a player with a damage cooldown and not some 12k armor squishy).
With the recent change with tank threat, where does this leave our HoSal cd. Pretty much useless. Hopefully Blizz can replace it with something new that we can use. Another defense cd like AM would be a warm welcome.

the glyph adjusts it to a 100% but temporary drop like fade, still handy on occasion.
Yeah, it's still pretty valuable for tank swapping fights if the boss is taunt immune. Intervene works for that too, though.

Yeah, it works with tank swapping but generally use HoP instead of HoSal, granted my tanks are aware so they can macro it off.
HoP doesn't reset threat though, so once HoP wears off that tank has aggro back, making it less useful for tank swaps.

HoP works just fine with us. Use it all the time when needed on tanks. But most of the time it's on two tank fights so other tank has aggro. The tank I use it on never gets aggro back.

Assuming you don't actually hit the boss during the 10s the buff is up, the other tank should've gained a decent threat lead.Originally Posted by Reev

Yes , exactly the point with HoP. It should always be coordinated with your tanks.
For some reason I had a brain failure at the time I wrote my previous post (I think) and was thinking if glyphed HoS, which is basicly the same thing as long as the other guy manually stops attacking ... which is always a good idea if you're getting Salved.
Also, you only get aggro back once you actually do something, if you don't cause threat, the boss' threat table won't update. Atleast that's how it's always been before, but it might be hard to get it off with dots etc rolling.
