(side note - Now this is a boon for SMF Orcs (http://www.wowhead.com/spell=20574) who were kinda screwed at the 359 ilvl with 0 1-hand str axes - but that makes me sad as human fury warrior wanting a free expertise option for SMF lol )

But with the 2h mace from Rags being 384, it looks like TG will be the favored spec when you hit that level? Not to mention the only SMF is a trash drop (will there actually be a heroic version of trash drops this tier, or is that just another datamined piece on wowhead) - really makes it seem that TG is the way Fury is going in T12... or am I missing something?

I can't believe how much easier it is to gear for SMF. You can get 2 of these axes on the auction house. The BOE bracers from one of your alts with 1250 valor. The Blacksmithing boots. You can buy the trinket. The neck off one of the easier firelands boss Shannox. All of sudden SMF warriors are instantly the top geared on the server. Assuming you want to drop all the gold that is....

Assuming you have the gold to drop... Or that http://www.wowhead.com/item=71617#comments will be 'there for the tanking'. In 25m, I'm competing with roughly 4 or 5 others (depending on who logs in) for 2 handers and 25 for Firestones.

Addtionally - how are any of the other upgrades any different from SMF than TG?

You still need heroic bosses to upgrade gear and you'll have more competition for the firestones than for weapons.

I do get what you're saying about the AH - it's more certain you can get cleavers in the AH than drops from a boss. But I'm not sure that will actually result in any quicker upgrades.
