He's updated it, but all it really amounts to is a list by ilvl, and only within the same ilvl are things actually sorted by the desirability of their stats. That's what actually started this thread, because he had the rep cloak as being above the Permafrost Cape and the Mantle of Patience, and while the Thrall/rep cloaks are arguable, I think Permafrost has got to clearly be above the rep cloak.Originally Posted by Loganisis
On a similar note, I'm looking at the boots from the Molten Front right now, vs my 359 Gryphon Riders (we had bad luck with Magmaw drops), and Vexryn has the Pyrelord Greaves (Dodge/Parry) ahead of the Gryphon Riders (parry/mastery). I'll probably be using my Al'Akir cape on the heavy-hitters. Not like it really makes a huge difference anyway...
If you wanna get really technical, the extra hit on the rep cape could possibly prevent a demo from missing and save your life.
FWIW in my gear permafrost shits all over the rep cloak on mitigation scale and it is not close.
ps 69 rating towards a 1750 cap gonna save you, really?

It COULD, sure. Is it likely? No. But the chance that you'll be saved because of the extra mitigation from the al'akir cape vs the rep cape is also small. There's also more stam on the rep cape, and there's a lot of bleed/magic damage in firelands. It's not a huge deal which one you go with.
I use the rep cloak for extra hit on Alysrazor and as decimation blade tank on Baloroc, since it has more real avoidance than any other cloak I have. On a boss that deals straight up physical damage I'd say permafrost > mantle > rep cloak.
I think so far having different sets of gear for different encounters is more important than it was in T11.
Well, it's always been the best solution.
Please Dragaan, judging from your armory I don't see you trading 2.5 mastery gems for 2 and a bit of avoidance/stamina hybrids so I simply don't understand what your trying to argue, especially now when we are so close to getting blockcapped. Even less so how the whole "magic damage" argument got tied up into this, thought it was long dead and buried.
hmm... All I wanted to say was that debating which cape is best between rep, quest, and permafrost is kinda silly. The differences are very small. Everything I said is true, tho.
