    Need help with my warrior

    Hi guys! It's my first post here, but i read you since 2 years. Recently i have started tanking with my warrior but.... now i have some troubles.... is my gear good for new Cata raids? My gemming is ok? Reforging? Spec?

    Can you please help me improving my char?

    Thank you

    It looks pretty good. You might want to exchange out 2-3 +40 mastery gems in your legs and rings and use mastery/parry so you can get the stamina socket bonuses. Stacking mastery is great but most warriors still prefer about 150k HP unbuffed then they stack mastery on top of that. Reforging looks good. A stamina trinket would do the trick to to get you to 150k. Your spec is good too, but you might want to take the 2 points out of gag order and put them into something more useful like deep wounds.

    I agree 100% with Bung, for the gear lvl id try to hit a few of the socket bonuses...however with your parry being almost 3% over your dodge, maybe bring some of that parry to dodge...Ofcourse u want your parry higher for hold the line, but with dm i try to keep dodg/parry with parry around 1% higher myself

    There are also some easy trinks to get such as http://www.wowhead.com/item=59332 off of Magmaw.

    Has never dropped for my guild... ever. But I would say that the Porcelain Crab is probably better than either of the trinkets the OP is currently using. The darkmoon card is exceptionally weak for a 359 trinket.

    Consider leveling your JC and BS. As much of a pain they are, you are loosing out on 3 very powerful gems and extra sockets on your kit from you BS.

    I'd also point out that Deep Wounds is significantly stronger than Cruelty.

    Generally speaking, unless it's a DPS socket bonus (hit/exp/crit/haste/str), WarTanks will get more out of gemming for the socket bonus. Mastery is better than dodge/parry/stamina on a 1:1 basis until you hit 97.4 dodge/parry/block passively (at least for normal modes), but not so great that you skip bonuses.

    Yellow = Mastery
    Blue = Mastery/Sta
    Red = Parry/Mastery
    Prismatic = Mastery

    I'd like to stress the idea of leveling your professions. 3 JC cuts over 3 regular cuts is 27*3 = 81 more rating points and the two sockets are another 80 rating points. That's 161 rating, all of which will be mastery most likely, which is around what, 1.4% block + 1.4% crit block.

    The static rating on DMC is nice, but the on-use is poor. When Scarab started dropping, that was a 10% increase to tank HP or so, which was great becasue there were some hard hitting mechanics that increasing your HP by that much was very useful. But there aren't the same rate of those mechanics in Cata and the 11k health is closer to 7.5% for entry level raid buffed tanks so it doesn't have the same value.

    I'd recommend farming TB commendations for the broken mirror. Most raid fights have burst magic, either directed or AoE and the 321 mastery is delicious. Crab is also very good when you get the drop.

    RNG drops can NEVER be assumed to be easy to get. For every guild that gets it every week and they've been DE-ing it for months there's another guild that's never seen it. RNG is just that, RNG.

    It's definately great to prioritize in your looting desires, but no RNG loot can ever be assumed.
