Mark of the Champion is still in my warlock's bags
I've had http://www.wowhead.com/item=9030 in my bags for near on 6 years now. At first I kept it because I thought that something that could dispel all that stuff would be good to keep on hand, but now it's useless due to diminishing effectiveness. I keep it now only for sentimental value, and it's the only thing that hasn't left my bags in all that time, except my Hearthstone.

I think my rogue also still has that potion even tho he got the recipie for it in the quest.
I still have the very first blue item that ever dropped for me.
In fact the bank of all my main characters is flowing over with stuff I gathered in my long long WoW career. http://www.wowhead.com/item=13084
Who would dispose of Benediction(got that before various buffs to priests so this was actually not easy to get)? That's easy. Nobody.
Who would hang onto http://www.wowhead.com/item=17774 ? Wasn't that a green item?
Or http://www.wowhead.com/item=11122 ?
Or http://www.wowhead.com/item=19141 ? Especially the Luffa came in handy later on...until Blizz nerfed it.
Or http://www.wowhead.com/item=13036 ?
Or http://www.wowhead.com/item=17705 ?
Quite a few of those aren't even available in the game anymore!
And I ABSOLUTELY need the gear I wore when I first went into Molten Core.
Tony the Tiger fist weapons for my rogue, T2 for my priest, some things are iconic and will never be thrown out of the window.

Only have on item saved on my rogue (not my first character, but my first 60), and that is Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas. It reminds me of the grind I started in Vanilla and what I didn't like about the raiding scene at the time, but also a lot of the good moments I shared at the same time.

I actually really liked the key quest chains, especially the Ony key. I kind of wish there were a key quest chain in Cata, because despite the fact that they were viewed as grindy for many people, I felt that they were pretty epic in scope, and it gave guilds a good reason to come together and help one another on nights they weren't raiding.

I agree, I liked the quest chains as well, and is the part I enjoyed about the process (and I didn't consider the attunements a grind). It was just shortly after that time I entered a period of playing catch-up with trying to put together resist sets and grinding raid mats for DKP and such that I didn't enjoy.

i won't get rid of my t6 or illidan shield and i will probably keep my full wrathful set and heroic cryptmaker in my bank just cause it looks so badass. also, heroic dual blade butcher will never leave my bags.
