Building a Kitty Off-set

I've gone through three off-sets (main is tank) since Cata release on my druid. Think I healed once on that spec in the month or more I had it. Used kitty a lot. Recently did moonkin because we needed more casters. Now, I really want to go back to kitty dps because that is what I really liked the best. So that means I have to get my gear up to speed.

My problem is that most of the tank gear is also kitty gear on this xpac - just seemingly a little different gemming and chanting. What would be a good strat for gearing up the kitty. I guess I can get some of the same rep gear? What would be ok to keep same on both specs?

The gear is the same except for trinkets, the only difference is gemming and enchanting. For gemming I would personally go with http://www.wowhead.com/item=52231 in yellow and blue slots and http://www.wowhead.com/item=52238 in red lots basically the same thing i do with my DK except for the http://www.wowhead.com/item=52238. Enchanting would be the same as a plate tank.

Katarn, so haste is still good for kitties. Been reforging haste (as well as other stats) to dodge for the bear so I guess I'll have to work on getting that gear seconded up for dps. The hardest part I see is another helm since it will be a while before I can spend JP on another JP helm. Is there a heroic that drops a good leather DPS helm? Don't remember seeing one.

Only at really high gear levels. At his level it is agi>mastery>crit>haste>hit/exp

Mastery is still the best, but your 2nd best secondary stat is either going to be Crit or Haste depending on what you have.

Final boss in stonecore drops a pretty nice helm. I don't think it's perfectly optimized for cat (it's crit/mastery IIRC), but it can certainly tide you over until you can bank some JPs.

Nice helm, need to look at it compared to the JP one in bear gem/reforge/arcanum. Gotta do some farming in there anyway for leaden despair and maybe the darkling staff.
