doing same dps i was in lk what is going on?

i have upgreaded almost all my gear from icc and am still pulling the same dps i was then on single target boss incounters. what should my rotation be did it change that much since cata. what stats should i stack as my dps sucks.

your most likely just forgetting to include the 30% icc buff. so your actually doing 30% more damage than u were

Still, you are missing a lot of enchants and glyphs. Why are you glyphing Haunt as Destro?

Stat Weights are much higher too.

You were doing X DPS in the last tier of content with possibly the best gear available in the game with a 30% buff.

If you wanna consider this, Naxxramas is equiv to what we're doing now, Tier 1 content for an expansion. Think about the DPS #s then and compare them to End-game wrath. Now imagine what sort of #s we'll be pulling on Deathwing.

The reason for it all, beyond the 30% buff, is statistical regression.

Each time you level, you need more of a stat to keep the same benefit. As a made up example to demonstrate what I mean.

lvl 80 - 1000 crit on gear = 50% crit chance
lvl 81 - 1000 crit on gear = 45% crit chance
lvl 83 - 1000 crit on gear = 30% crit chance
lvl 85 - 1000 crit on gear = 10% crit chance

These numbers are not accurate, I made them up. They are simply used to demonstrate the effect of what is happening.

thank you guys for the info and ya i was thinking about the 30% on bosses in icc i was at 17k or so i can now only pull 11k on bosses now.

Your gear is low, now doubt about it, 11k for your gear actually looks pretty high considering your still below 333 in average gear level, you've got a 264 trinket, 2 PvP items, lacking several enchants.

your hit is at 5% - don't you need it to be 17%? That's a 12% miss rate, or more than one in 9 spells missing, which is a pretty sizeable DPS loss.

Or did I catch you in a PvP spec after you had changed from your PvE gear for the question above?

Hit cap for 5-mans is much lower, I think 8%? I forget, it should say on your in-game hit tooltip though.

At level 85 we only have 10% crit as opposed to like 60%, same for haste. also count in the 30% icc buff/arpen/etc
