    Chimaeron 10m Normal Guide






    Abilities

    Finkle's Mixture
    Damage taken while above 10000 health cannot reduce your health below 1. Unlimited range. Instant.

    Massacre
    Inflicts maximum damage to all enemy players. 4 sec cast.

    Caustic Slime
    Deals 280000 Nature damage and briefly reduces chance to hit for all enemies in an area. Damage is split between all enemies within 6 yards of the impact crater. Unlimited range. Instant.

    Feud
    Chimaeron is unable to perform melee attacks while his heads are fighting each other. Channeled.

    Double Attack
    Chimaeron will strike twice on his next attack. Unlimited range. Instant.

    Break
    Chimaeron attacks viciously, breaking through his target's defenses. Increases Physical damage taken by 25% and reduces healing done by 15% for 1 min. Stacks. Unlimited range. Instant.

    Mortality
    (On Raid) Reduces healing effects for all enemies by 99%. Unlimited range. Instant. (On Self) Chimaeron goes into a rage, rendering him immune to Taunt effects but increasing the damage he takes by 10%. Instant.


    Strategy



    Placement. Green = Tank, Pink = OffTank, Blue = Stacking point

    This fight is mostly up to healers. When the fight is ready to start, DO NOT ENGAGE CHIMAERON BY SMACKING HIM IN THE FACE. Instead go to the back of the room (arrow in picture above) and talk to Finkle who will give you
    Finkle's Mixture Buff and activate a Bile-o-tron.

    This bot will run along the room and spew orange gas. Just ignore him. Don't worry if he walks near you.



    The buff is the key part to this fight. When active any raid member at 10K HP cannot die in a single hit.

    Overview
    Phase 1

    Chimaeron will randomly spew Caustic Slime at 2 raid members. Everyone should be spread a minimum of 6 yards to avoid spreading this. The reason being instead of healing the one person back to 10K, they will not have to heal 2+ to 10K therefore wasting time and mana.


    Massacre will also be cast which aoe hits the raid and knocks everyone down to 1 HP and killing anyone not over 10K HP. This happens with Caustic Slime and Double Attack . Fast raid heals are necessary. A way to organize is to have one healer start at the top of the list and go down, while another starts at the bottom and goes up. Or assign groups so healer 1 heals group 1 to 10K and healer 2 heals group 2 to 10K and finish any leftovers. The tank/offtank should be the only ones above 10K because of Double Attack.


    Double Attack will hit the tank twice. If the tank is at 10K HP he will be hit once, bringing him to 1HP, and then hit the second time causing him to die. This is a very fast attack and the best prevention of death is to have the tank as full HP as possible. Chimaeron will show double attack in his buffs.


    To help with healing, people should have Healthstones , potions and bandages to use.

    Phase 2

    Occasionally after Massacre , the Bilebot will be knocked offline. This means the Finkle's Mixture Buff will be removed. Chimaeron's heads will begin fighting each other and he will channel Feud for 30 seconds. In the first 15 seconds everyone should be stacked to spread damage and healers should heal everyone up as much as possible. After 15 seconds Chimaeron will vomit every 5 seconds and then finish off with a Massacre. Use defensive cooldowns, self heals, and help top off all raid members in any way possible. While he casts Massacre, everyone should be spreading out to resume Phase One.

    Phase 3

    Phase 3 starts when Chimaeron is at 20%. The raid will be hit with a new defuff Mortality . There is no reason to heal after this. Chimaeron will also become untauntable and will take 10% more damage.
    In a nutshell, BURN HIM. Use bloodlust, tanks and healers should be dpsing. Watch his aggro table to determine who he's going to attack next, and have that person run across the room. Use IceBlock, Bubbles, Fades, Feign Deaths, Guardian Spirit, Mirror Image, Force of Nature, and any other tricks you can think of to keep him running as much as possible. The more he's moving instead of attacking, the more dps time you get.

    An option in phase 3 is to kite him out of the room. He doesn't leash like the other bosses so this might be an advantage.


    Main Tank/Off Tank
    Phase 1
    Use defensive cooldowns at 2 stacks of Break and taunt off at 3.
    Consider using Warlocks voidwalkers to absorb Double Attack.
    Consider using Trinket and the like.

    Phase 2
    Stack with the group.

    Phase 3
    Run around and kite the boss. Dps hard and use anything you can to not get hit or die.


    DPS
    Phase 1
    Spread out for Caustic Slime.
    Make sure you are at 10K+ for Massacre (bandage, pot if needed)

    Phase 2
    Collapse for feud.
    Respread after feud during Massacre cast.
    Resume Phase 1+2 till 20%.

    Phase 3
    Run around and kite the boss. Dps hard and use anything you can to not get hit or die. The goal is to not die and kill the boss.


    Healer
    Phase 1
    Keep everyone at 10K HP. Tanks and Offtanks should be as close to full as possible for double attack.
    Watch for caustic slime hitting random people. This can happen moments before massacre so quick or flash heals are very important.

    Phase 2
    During Feud, the Finkle buff can be removed if the Biletron goes offline. Heal up everyone (should be stacked). Alot of AOE damage will happen and then a Massacre signaling the end of phase 2. Respread out and continue Phase 1+2.

    Phase 3.
    Run around and kite the boss. Dps hard and use anything you can to not get hit or die. Druids should use treeform if possible.

    For the tanks on normal mode, the best way is to have 1 tank tank chimaeron the entire time, he will get like 10+ break stacks, but it doens't matter, that tank will just need to be above 10k every hit, and the other tank taunts off when the boss does double attack, this tank needs to be above a 100k or so for the double attack.

    And in the last phase, you can't kite the boss, his hitbox is so big that its just impossible, you may delay him by 1 second, but tanks should just make sure they can dodge/parry/block and rotate ardent defender/guardian spirit on them. If you start kiting, melee will get parries and rogues/druids wont be able to use their attacks that require them to be behind.

    By all means even though it is slightly outdated now. Good luck on the fight
