Protection warrior T11 pick up order?

I am almost there to pick up my first T11 piece, a little late but better than never

Which one would you pick first.
I have the rep back from Hyjal, the bracers from Ramkahen, the two BS pieces for chest and waist as well as the shield, all representing 359 pieces.
My latest aquirement is the Shoulder from Bastion of Twilight, also a 359 piece with mastery and parry. This makes the T11 shoulders the least viable pick I think
The rest ist 346 pieces.

I am considering the hands and helmet (cheaper than the rest), but the chest seems nice too, replacing expertise with dodge for the most part. Anyway there is a chance that hands and trousers drop from Algaloth, isn't it?

What would you suggest? Perhaps something totally different? Btw I am BS and JC, so the Engeneering helm is not an option.

I purposely avoided picking up the crafted chest because the tier chest is BiS and has no chance to drop from Baradin Hold. It is easily the best option of the three imo.

However, the crafted chest is getting a buff, and if you're attached to it, you should probably pick up the gloves. There is only 1 glove boss drop for prot and that has shared stats with dps specs. The stats on the tier gloves are perfect for a prot warrior and are BiS as well.

Legs drop from Baradin Hold, Atramedes and Al'akir, so assuming you're in a fairly competent and consistent raiding group, you have lots of potential chances/ options in the leg slot.

The helm isn't something that you can buy with regular points so unless you have a good shot at the helm token I'd go for the legs after the gloves.. i opted not to get the chest crafted since i knew i'd be betting the chest first, so i got the chest, then gloves, and if I don't get the legs from running baradin hold, i'll likely get the legs next.

I went with crafted chest/belt/shield and got panties first, then hands and chest afterwards to complete my 4 piece bonus.

You can only acquire shoulder/helmet via raiding (dropping from Cho'gall and Nefarian).

hit isn't needed so you are pretty much just losing avoidance for a worthless stat.

Thanks for the input. Since I already have the BS CHest, which is not perfect but good I will first go for the gloves, than legs and finally the chest and probably the helmet on the way when we now once more engage in raiding. Big tank thanks to all of you!

I am in a very similar situation as the poster described but I was also considering the trinket. What are the thoughts on the bedrock talisman - I definitely think the armor is low but the proc seems great with a potential 10 out of 30 seconds up-time. Thoughts?

I do not value the Bedrock Talisman too high but I have no math prooving this assumption. Anyway get yourself a new heal if you drop every 30s below 35% health would be a better investment than the trinket. I think it is one of the weaker items.

im ignoring 4set at the moment, i think the avoidance and mastery is going to suti me better.

but im going to go - legs unless a mastery avoidance set drop off alakir monday, then gloves unless they drop from BH wednesday, then chest. and im using the parry mastery shoudlers + chest from BoT.

I went with my T11 BP then gloves as my 2 picks, legs might come later on but I'm gonna wait for the tank legs in raids as they have somewhat better stats. The 346 legs have way more dodge which is sad...

My other choices are the ring and dps trinket License to Slay.

Next will be legs and hands.

The other slots should be covered from rep gear (feet and cloak). Trinket sucks.

Hey guys
now that I am buying some T11 stuff, I'm realizing that there are far more hit than expertise.
I currently have T11 gloves and legs.
I have the engineering helm and the crafted chest, with large chunks of expertise on it. I'm afraid my threat will drop down when I take the T11 helm and chest.
What do you think? How do you gain expertise with a T11 set?

You don't gain expertise, it isn't really needed. I'm running with 11 expertise and that is high as far as expertise goes. I've run previously with ~9 or less... so it's not really a concern.

Personally, I don't think the BS chest is worth the mats if you are going for any valor pieces. If you already have it, then gloves/legs.... if you don't, then t11 chest. I wouldn't bother with the trinkets/rings at all.

Ideally, tier pieces will be the 3 VP peices (no hit)

The order of aquisition will depend on what your current gear is, replacing lowest item level first.

And then for the 4th pc
If you have http://www.wowhead.com/item=63531 or http://www.wowhead.com/item=59359 go for the shoulders
If you have http://www.wowhead.com/item=59901 or http://www.wowhead.com/item=67144 go for the helm

Does that sound right? If you have access to both, is it better to offset helm or shoulders?

Rep boots > VP boots so don't grab them.
And the ring is worth picking up if you don't already have a 359.
