Old Heirlooms in Cataclysm

I understand the current heirlooms only scale from level 1-80. What I'm wondering is, if they'll continue to give the experience bonus beyond that. It seems to make sense that they'd give an experience bonus as long as you're level 80, so 80-81, just from the way it says 1-80 on the item and not 1-79.

So - do they still give experience boost and just won't scale or do they stop giving the experience boost? And if so do they stop giving the experience boost at level 80 or 81?

Stops at the end of 79 as stated in a blue a few days ago.
