Avatar issue's profile a picture

I can't upload avatar's I even downloaded avatar's that others have uploaded on there own profile. Let me try using a website redirect instead of uploading it.

Kiaos, avatars and signature imgs are perks of being a donor.

Is there any way to alter the notification to "Avatars are a Premium member perk - Be a donor!"

Instead of just "unable to save file" - which could mean anything, including "Try again, in 8 different ways, and waste a whole hour", which is unfortunately what it meant to me. >_<
