The night before, where are you logging out?

    Stormwind Harbor? Moonglade? Shattrath?

I'm thinking Moonglade so I can just fly into Hyjal and begin questing before the masses arrive.

I suspect I'll forget, log out in Dalaran as usual, and be surprised at how quickly it loads when I log in the next time.

That's not necessarily a bad thing.

I'll log out somewhere that may be under-populated.

Just to let you all know, that there are quests that will lead you to the starting area in Ogrimmar and Stormwind, if you are going right into the questing run.

Is there a quest that leads you to Hyjal? If so, where will the questgiver be?

For the Horde when you are in Ogrimmar you will see a board posting that gives a quest to both Hyjal and Vash'jir. Hyjal quests ask you to see a guy and he will port you to Nordrassil in Mount Hyjal to start your questing. Vash'jir quest sends you out to the new docks outside of Ogri where you get to take a boat to the starting area. I'm not to sure about the Alliance, but I would figure they will have something on the same level. Also later as you level quests to go to Deepholm and Twilight Highlands will also appear on this board.

I'll probably get a team together to start out doing some instances to circumvent the overcrowdedness of other areas.

My plan is to get a team that works well together, do one or two instances we know to get used to the new system, and then start out on the real deal. Once the time is better suited for questing, I'll probably swap to that. (Time better suited probably meaning "between two and six AM.")

It does kinda depend on my ability to get the team as I want it, and their willingness to skip some quests. I really want to get used to the new tanking system for paladins with people I know and trust to perform.

Will probably do the same as martie, let the main wave of levellers get a day or so ahead, then quest in the half empty zones. Will log out at blackrock to discover the BRC pretty much instantly (and fly around the mountain on my black drake, something I have wanted to do for nearly 5 years now.

Same. Gonna log out there too. On my Orc DK main.

Then I'll log in, mount up, and fly around inside IF /waving at the Allies, till I get dismounted and gang-ganked .

Yes, last I tested, opposite factions can indeed fly into each others' cities without getting dismounted, including IF, Gnomer, and UC. This will of course make 'For The Horde/Alliance' achievements significantly faster and easier, which will be a nice boon for everyone leveling a new goblin/worgen/new race/class combo to 80 and wanting their warbear. But I suspect it will get nerfed quickly as the griefing possibilities are just too great.

PS - In Org that board is right outside Garrosh's new HQ (what used to be the Org bank). In Stormwind I think there are at least two, one in front of the AH and the other in the northwest corner of the city, near a balcony overlooking the lake and cemetary.

    They're impossible to miss.
