hey i just got my alt to 70 (warrior tank) Is it worth while to try and tank through northrend instances now even though the tank gear i have isn't maxed like a pre wotlk 70 might be or should i quest for a bit to get new gear before hopping into instances?
Get friend with a blacksmith, the cobalt pieces ( http://www.wowhead.com/spell=52570#comments - check comments at the link for all parts ) are your way to go besides dungeon drops and quest rewards ( http://www.wowhead.com/items=4?filte...;crv=1:0#0+2+1 ). Enchant them with http://www.wowhead.com/item=38376 and get some +defense enchants if you can affort them.
ty for the reply, i've purchased all but the chest, helm, and bracers for that cobalt set.
The full cobalt set has you crit immune until 72 or 73. You get three tank upgrades during that period from dungeon quests so make sure to get the UK, Nexus and AN quests when you can queue for them (which you already can).
From there continue to look for the crafted tank pieces as you level and you will stay crit immune or very near. Trinkets is the hard part until the upper 70s. Use wow-loot.com to find good tank quest and dungeon rewards. You may need to queue specifically for some of the higher level BC dungeons for trinkets to get you through the low 70s.
