healing addons

I was looking for a good addon for healing. I am using healbot right now and it is working ok just didnt know if anything is better out there. The problem with healbot is that i cant click onto the person. Someone pointed me to grid, well the problem is that i cant figure out which parts to download and figure out how to heal with it.

grid is a great addon, I use to to Heal with Mouseover macro's to great effect, if you are a Healing clicker grid + Clique is good aswell.

that is a link to the TS grid tutorial will help you get it set up properly.

Incase your wondering the way to write a mouseover macro is

#showtooltip <Spell>
/cast [target=mouseover] <Spell>

Where are <Spell> Is the name of the spell you wish to cast. I find this very effective


However you may Consider just having two set of raid frames, For Example Healbot and Xperl, So you can maintain your current settings and still select people when you need to.

I highly recommend VuhDo for healing. It may be found at Curse: ::Vuhdo::

There are many tutorials online for setting it up as well (you can customize a lot!). Here is a tutorial thread someone was kind enough to post here on TankSpot.

Vuhdo has the same problems that Healbot does however in selecting the person, which is what the op's problem is.

But it doesn't.

You just assign one of your mouse clicks in VuhDo to "Target", instead of specifying a spell. I set mine to alt-click for selecting someone.

You can do the same in healbot. (EDIT: I believe in healbot you actually type "/target" instead of a spell. It's been a while since I used it, though. But there's definitely a way.)

This can also bring up the right-click menu (wisper, inspect, invite, etc) by setting one of your clicks to "dropdown"
