/agree with Sif.... a lot of times, you will use badge gear to get encounter specific gear. Glyph of Indominability is strong for armor. I recall badge legs (valor?) for the warrior block/unhittable set. Often, there are pieces you can pick up that you will use occasionally.
Other than that, gear up your off spec in case your team needs you as fury or arms. After that, PvP gear and gems on the cheap....
Deeps for show..... tank for dough.....
heirlooms, there's a few BoEs in there you can sell too... but gems is probably the most effective way to make a quick buck.
