Death Knight - Need Assistance: Gear and Talent

I have recently acquired Boneguard Commander's Pauldrons from HM Gunship yet I have my four piece set bonus with Tier 10. As most DK tanks know, the set bonus is highly recommended and breaking it would be unwise.

Should I
a) buy a T10 Helmet to replace the shoulders for the T10 set bonus?
b) go ahead and replace the shoulders?
c) wait until I replace Pride of the Demon Lord cloak with Sentinel's Winter Cloak?
or d) listen to what Tankspot has to say?

On a second note, how are my talents for tanking as OT for 25m?

As most DK tanks know, the set bonus is highly recommended and breaking it would be unwise.

There's nothing amazingly special about it. The 2p is trash and the 4p is handy to have as an extra cd on certain fights (mainly lk soul reapers), but at this point with the buff being 30% now, unless you're doing 25m heroics (and even moreso, the more difficult ones like ppcide, sind and lk) then you won't really notice the difference of not having that extra minor cd. The only way I can see the 4p being BiS is if you can upgrade them all to 277 ilvl, otherwise, the 264 offset pieces from badges/first wing 25m bosses are overall more EH and you're better off going with them. The frost badge gloves and chest, the crafted legs, the 25 gunship shoulders (which you have the 277 version of) and the 25 deathwhisper helm would all be better in terms of eh than your 4p t10

Thank you very much with the reply about the gear. I'll start gemming my shoulders ASAP. As for my talents, are they decent for OT ICC 10/25?

I agree,i play a blood tank and I don't think you need either of the set bonuses from it.
as far as the talents go,i find hysteria to be a wasted talent.also why the 3 points in ravenous dead?no benefit from this as a tank whatsoever apart from the strength and even then its not worth the 3 points imo.I'd put those 3 points in improved icy touch.that point in hysteria i'd put in rune tap.I personally didn't put any points in spell deflection,don't think it's needed.you could maybe take those points out of that and put them in improved rune tap.this is down to personal preference..if you really suffer that much from magic attacks then keep them in there.

For 1 talent point, Hysteria is a good tool to pick up. You can use it on yourself on a pull to get a little extra threat or give it to a dps that will benefit from it a lot (fury and kitty are the 2 best). Take those 3 points out of Ravenous Dead and put them into Improved IT for the melee slow debuff for bosses. And I personally would take those 3 points out of Spell Deflection and get only 2/3 Scent of Blood so you can pick up Rune Tap and Improved Rune Tap. Also, I would replace your DnD glyph with the Runestrike glyph unless you REALLY have trouble with aoe that much.
