Open to multiple DPS classes including: Boomkin, elemental shaman, ret paladin, resto druid, and resto shaman.
Are you a Self sufficient-Motivated-Alert-Reliable-Talented raider?
Do you consider yourself an extremely skilled and dedicated player, but don't want to commit to a hardcore raiding schedule?
If your answer is Yes, then Carpe Diem is the guild for you.
<Carpe Diem> is a long standing established guild on Thunderhorn, having our roots in the begining of TBC and getting KJ down before the start of WoTLK. We have been progressing strong ever since.
Our Philosophy : We don't play much, but when we do, we play to the absolute best of our abilities. We have a number of our raiders hitting top spots on the WMO scoreboards to reflect that. We only have a 12 hour raid week, but we make those hours count. You are expected to be able to take constructive criticism. If you are defensive about everything and anything you might not be the right fit.
Conquered Feats in WotLK:
- Glory of the Icecrown Raider (25) - Server First
- Glory of the Icecrown Raider (10) - Server First (two unique groups completed)
- ToGC (25) - Tribute to Insanity - Server Second
- ToGC (10) - Tribute to Insanity - Server Second (2 unique groups successfully completed, Server First for Anub and Mad Skill)
- Alone in the Darkness (25) - Server First, Death's Demise
- Glory of the Ulduar Raider (25) - Server First
- Alone in the Darkness (10)- Server First
- Algalon (10)- Server First (Herald of the Titans as well)
- Glory of the Ulduar Raider (10) - Server First (2 unique groups successfully completed)
- Glory of the Raider (25) - Server Second
- Glory of the Raider (10) - Server First
- Malygos (25) - Server First, Magic Seeker
Currently we are working on heroic Lich King. As a member of Carpe Diem you are expected to keep a competitive edge. Our target audience is players that have excellent situational awareness,do not complain when the wipes pile up when learning an encounter and who will go that extra mile to maximize their characters.
What we expect of you:
Knowledge: We're looking for players who stay up to date on not only all of their class changes and mechanics, but also the mechanics of raid encounters, other classes, and the game in general. Know the fights. Know how to min/max. Know how you should spec and gear for specific encounters. Know how to effectively play your offspec.
Dedication: Can you make our raid times? Are you prepared to give 100% into learning an encounter until we get it down or the raid is called? If your answer is no this isn't the guild for you. We do wipe, and it isn't always pretty, but we expect you to run back quickly and be ready to correct your mistakes.
Experience: If you don't have at least a little bit of hard mode experience, don't expect a warm reception. Ulduar or ToC, something to show you've raided encounters above the normal level. Experience in pre-nerf Sunwell or Old Naxxramas is a big plus.
Skill: Impress us. Show that you can consistently top the meter. Show that you rarely make mistakes. Show us that you know how to min/max. Mediocre raiders are a dime a dozen. We're looking for the exceptional raiders.
Good Attitude: We don't want people who are just in this for the gear. We don't want people who only show up on loot nights. We don't want people who constantly *%**% and moan about X class or Y boss. We raid to down bosses, get achievements, and have fun.
Classes We Want:
Boomkin (1) --- high
Elemental Shaman (1) --- high
Ret Paladin (1) --- high
Healer (1) --- low to medium, desired resto druid, or possible resto shaman.
All applicants are expected to have a valid offspec that they keep up-to-date and ready to perform with. Keep in mind that this is only a guideline, and all exceptional applicants are considered, so even if you aren't on this list and you think you have what it takes, stop by our website and drop off an application.
Tuesdays: 7:30-10:30 EST
Wednesdays: 7:30-10:30 EST
Thursdays: 7:30-10:30 EST
Sundays: 7:30-10:30 EST
75% attendance is mandatory, and raid invites begin at 7pm EST.
You will need to provide us with a WWS or WMO as part of your application. We also ask that all applicants be 18 years old or older. The average age of our guild is 25-30, and we put a strong emphasis on our guild community. While we do place a very high premium on friendship and fun, we also give it our all when we raid. So when your ready to see what hardmode end-game has to offer and free up some time for real life, drop us an application.
You can also speak with any officer in game, just stop over any officer in game, just stop over and ask for one!
Thank you for your time.
