Apparently I fail at formatting. The point is that we have some people getting hit by Malleable Goo as often as 25 times per night. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to help people get better at dodging goo.

Tell them to sidestep it (no, I'm not kidding, it works).

Also, where are you tanking him and where are your ranged standing?

    Sig'd

And It seems like a problem where practice makes perfect your group will eventually get the ability to move out of globs (tell them all to get boot enchants.... ALL OF THEM) and remember running sideways is full speed so get your circle strafe on.

/gkick or simply don't invite them to raid if you wish to improve your progression.
Unless these people are brand new to raiding, like a week or two under their belt new, chances are their skill/in-game reaction time has reached an asymptotic level. They will continue to fail at "moving out of fire", etc., and your raid will suck because of them. If they are your friends and that is more important that progression, deal with it. If not, return to my first sentence.

My guild had the same problem. If you can replace the problem raiders then I would do it, but if you can't then there's not much you can do except keep practicing. Some of the WoL reports when first doing PP showed 3 million+ damage taken from Malleable Goo over the course of a single raid night. Make sure everyone is running a boss mod like DBM and has chat bubbles enabled. This way if someone is targeted a shout box should appear above their head saying to watch out. It's not really that hard, you see bouncing oozes coming at you and you move left/right. If you get really good at judging the pathing you can run foward and through them since they don't explode until impact.

    To quote Sebudai (2005?)

"As a guild, we struggle with these movement fights a lot. If you need to practice jumping, go find a cliff and jump off it."

The funny thing is... jumping off a clliff is actually a good idea in Battle for Hyjal...

There is a simple solution. Have the raid leader download and install BigWigs and turn DBM off. In the BigWigs settings tell him to find the check box to Emphasize Mallable Goo. This will give him a voice counting down 5 seconds before the Goo will be tossed out. Have him call out over vent/teamspeak each time when the timer starts. He can say something like "Mallable Goo in 5 seconds" This call out will alert the range that in 5 seconds I am very likely going to have to move. If they are prepared before it happens they will be more likely to avoid it.
