I've never seen that abbreviation used. If I had to guess, I'd say "hardcore", after a mode in D2 where if you died, your character was deleted. In this case, I suppose it would refer to running a heroic with no wipes.
Used in reference to Heroic 5mans usually. HeroiC? If not that, I can't figure out what the C is for.

can you quote exactly how it was used in a sentence, as well as what class said it? then i might be able to figure it out.
Maybe it was a typo and they meant to type JC?
Winter is coming
I've heard people say "HC guilds" or "HC raider" as in Hardcore, or "HC 5-mans" or "HC ICC" as in Heroic. I dunno, I guess it depends on server and region.
Very normal on my server, perhaps it's a European thing. HC = Heroic? That's what I always thought.
It must be Hardcore, thanks. One recent useage is in reference to HC HoR. Here's another.
The most common abbreviation for heroic on my realm as well. Is this a european thing maybe? Not sure why its used but had been as long as I can remember.
Edit: mmo-champion's top story right now is "Paragon World First Lich King HC Kill Video" and I can't understand it as meaning anything other than HeroiC...
Heroic. For those too lazy or busy to type out 6 little letters.
"There are no men like me...only me."

Yep, it's used quite extensively for 'heroic' on my server at least.
