Ok so here is. If anyone is able to give me some good solid advice i would appreciate it. I will probably end up being the Main Tank at some point for my guilds ICC 10's.

Helm - never use a non-stam hybrid gem. Change the gem to 10agi/15stam.
Shoulders - change the enchant to the pvp enchant (30stam/15resil) -> http://www.wowhead.com/item=44957
Cloak - change the enchant to 225 armor, http://www.wowhead.com/item=50466 is going to be a really good piece of gear for you to pick up when you can.
Chest - Change the enchant to 275 HPs
note: with the above changes I think you will still be over 536 defense, which is what you need to ensure you are non-crittable with the aforementioned shoulder enchant. If you aren't, change your shield enchant to 20 defense.
Trinkets: I would recommend getting glyph of indominability to replace that JC trinket
Boots: try and get http://www.wowhead.com/item=45560 made. They are very solid and will last you a while, if you have the money go for making http://www.wowhead.com/item=49907 however since they don't have defense these may be a bad move for now since you'd probably drop into the critical range. You also might hit that 9 stam bonus on the spiked deathdealers with a 10defense/15 stam gem
Belt: look into getting http://www.wowhead.com/item=45551 made until you can get the frost emblem belt.
Legs: when you can, get pillars of might crafted, but you're going to need more defense before you can really use those since they have zero defense on them.

Take a look at: http://www.tankingtips.com/2009/12/2...st-pick-order/ for help in deciding what you should get first for frost emblems. Yes I know it has warrior tier, but the same rules apply for pallies just assume it is pally tier although I would suggest putting corroded skeleton to #8 in that order, maybe even 5 depending on what other drops you get for shoulder/helm.

If you're using the PvP shoulder enchant, it has a little resilience to add to the uncrittable mark. I like to maintain 540 though, because many raid leaders will look at 536 defense and say "LAWL HE'S NOT DEFCAPPED".

Chill of the Throne is applied after Diminishing Returns. The only reason Mongoose is even a viable choice is due to the Armor you gain from it, not the Dodge.

What I should have said is "Weapon, go for Blood Draining or Mongoose when you have a quality one your going to keep for a bit"

Bladeward is not an enchant, its a waste of enchanting mats. There is absolutely no situation in ICC 10 or 25 where this is a better enchant over Mongoose or Blood Draining.
my bad didnt read it well enough.

Regarding the hit thing: I would suggest keeping on to tanking items with hit on them.
Don't gem or enchant it, but keep a few extra items.

As with any tanking problem, most situations require different sets of gear. Some fights you want to take as many hits as you can and aggro is a non-issue and sometimes damage is trivial, but a missed taunt can lead to a wipe.
Just getting the taunt glyph will not make it hit all the time as it's on the spell hit table (17% chance to miss on a lvl 83 mob). So being melee hitcapped and having the glyph should put you in the safe zone (not accounting for a spriest or boomkin as they prolly don't have their debuffs on the target when you need to taunt them).
So switch around with gear if you have any and try to make one that has the hitcap without sacrificing too much stats and use that for fights where it's needed!

Stick to Aggathons advice because it is really solid. I just have to add one thing: hit is mitigation for a pally tank when nobody else is applying debuffs for you. Both JotJ and Vindication uptime and the latter one especially are dependent on your abbilities hitting the target.

    Discussion at maintankadin: http://maintankadin.failsafedesign.c...rb_v=viewtopic

My own experience tells me that the cap is hard to get and not that important but carrying around at least some hit when nobodies debuffing the boss is a wise descision or at least Vindication will drop of for relevant portions of a fight.

    Cheers!
