What to spend my emblems on (gearing for icc 10) Protection Warrior

108 emblems of triumph, 26 frost emblems and I'm trying to get geared to enter icc10 or at least some of the higher 10 man raids. I'm wondering what I should go for with my emblems. I'm thinking saronite swordbreakers first (60 emblems), then blades of the sable cross (25 emblem thrown) and finally breastplate of white knight (120 emblems) and faceplate of the honorbound (75 emblems). What should I get for triumph (ilvl245) and what should be my first piece for frost emblems?

Generally when you are gearing a warrior tank in preperation for Icecrown your gonna wanna stack EHP and nothing else. (EHP meaning stam and armor.) Personally Id try to get juggernats vitaliaty/ Satrinas Scarab from 25 man TOC and then get the glyph of imdonibiliaty. Your armor is rather low even for TOC 10 man so my first frost badge gear peice I would get if i were you would be either the cape or the gloves for the armor boost. Also once u get better gear from TOC 10/25 man be sure to get rid of those defense rating enchants for your gear alone should be able to keep u above 545. Once u get rid of them only get enchants and gems that increase stam and armor. For more info regarding this go to Aggathons Prot warrior guide on the website.

    Happy Tanking

This is the priority I would go for:

    75 triumph helmet / 50 frost cloak

t9 chest / or White Knight if you want to spend money

    Glyph of Indomitability

    25 valor emblems (trade down) - http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40718

    t9 gloves

Then trade down to conquest for these:

Honestly, you're skipping a lot of content so I'm making this list assuming you aren't going to pug or get drops. Since even some of these upgrades (ok a lot) can be replaced by drops in ToC/Ony and of course just about anything in ICC.

I wouldn't spend frost emblems on gloves. Try an get them from VoA.

The general progression, which varies slightly depending who you ask, is frost cloak first then frost belt.

Bump, My gear has gotten some big improvements. Now I'm thinking the next steps are the 245 helm and some replacement for the legs, feet, and belt. I could trade emblems down like muffin said, but that seems like a waste. Any 232 or higher items?

It isn't a waste. Your choices for belts at your stage of the game are:

Shieldwarder girdle for 28 downtraded Triumphs -> conquests.
Crafted indestructible plategirdle for 5 titansteel and 6 runed orbs, plus a tip for the smithy. If you buy the runed orbs with triumphs, this will actually cost you more than just getting the above belt.
Hope for the Titanium links of lore to drop from Forge of Souls. It's a rare zone drop. Good luck, happy hunting with that one.
    Go raiding.

Quickest, most effective solution is downtrade the triumphs. They drop like candy in random heroics.

Helmet: 245 triumph helmet is a good choice.
Legs: 232 triumph legs are a good, easy upgrade
Feet: Forge of souls end boss: black spire sabatons. Get farming.
Hands: if you replace yoru gloves with the 232 triumph gloves, you'll get the 2pc set bonus with the legs. Not game breaking, but nice to have.
