Diffuculty spending 155 Frost Marks

First here's my armory.

I have every frost tanking item available except the ilvl264 tanking gloves which I refuse to buy for another week or two because I am hoping for voa to drop the set gloves.

The only items I can upgrade are my helm and shoulders. However, the tier 10 ilvl251 helm and shoulders are a minimal upgrade!

Between the ilvl251 shoulders and helm vs my current helm and shoulders this is the upgrade I am taking for 155 frost marks.

47 Str
83 Armor
-3 Defense
-11 Dodge
71 Parry
-69 Expertise
+20% shield slam and shockwave damage.

I'm sorry but 155 frost marks should buy me more of an upgrade. Losing that 69 expertise is going to hurt me a lot. I have to re-gem a lot of my gear or put +20 expertise in the helm and shoulders to make up for the loss. So I stay at 26 expertise.

What do you guys think?

I am a little confused, you say you have every upgrade you can get with frost emblems, then you ask about t10?

So you have the Cataclysmic Chestguard, Corroded Skeleton Key, Cloak, and Gauntlets?

Or is it that you don't want the gauntlets because you are hoping for a drop?

If you are counting on drops, keep saving and run 25 man ICC. Don't buy anything until you have the armor token to upgrade it... You'll be wasting more on gems/enchants than it's worth.

If you checked my armor you would see that I have the chest...key..and cloak + belt.

I am holding off on the gauntlets for a hopeful VoA drop.

I do run 10/25 icc each week and I have been very unlucky with the drops. Winning marks is a pain in the ass too.

Well if I was in your situation I would pick up the offset gloves, or save until I won the armor token. I can't look at the armory right now as I'm at work. Counting on drops is just too much RNG for me. I'll gear up as best I can without relying on it, that way I can still tank anything until I am lucky enough to get the drop. I don't think any 251 tier gear is getting because it is A) a waste of Gems/enchants if you run 25 man content and B) not a substantial enough upgrade from 245 gear.

ya man I sadly agree. I am just tired of using these ilvl245 helm and shoulders. The smartest decision would be to hold off until I get a mark or a drop from VoA.

I have not had an upgrade for the last 2 weeks and I am starting to feel like crap.

As everyone is in this game, if you dont get at least 1 piece of gear each week you really dont feel too happy.

Indeed. I would say enjoy the content, do your absolute best, eventually the RNG gods smile on everyone.... it just takes a while with 2 million (or however many) users play the game.
