Why does everyone leave grp as soon as they see me GS or HP?

Ok once i was def capped i started doing heroics. Healer would join group look at me and say "I aint healing Him" leave grp. This has happened more than a few times already. Here is my Armory link

Is it because I'm @ 24k HP? is that too low for doing Heroics? But once i do find a healer i have no problems with threat, or tanking mobs(spamming tc, SW, cleave, tabbing like a crazed tabber). Is it because of the LFG system, and do they always want a purp'ed out tank each time? I mean im slowly getting there, got http://www.wowhead.com/?item=48460 last night. Should i gem for Stam? til im right at 535 defense for heroics?

Well I can't comment from a healer standpoint, but from a DPS standpoint, I do get worried, when I have more health than the tank does (I have 24k unbuffed as dps).
Especially in some of the harder instances, like ToC or the ICC instances.
I will switch to tank gear/spec and dps. Which has saved the group from wipes a few times, after the tank died. Like during the Black Knight on phase 3.

It probably is because of your HP, but everyone these days is spoiled. 24k is enough to tank heroics! Maybe you should try finding a healer friend that doesn't mind normal HP.

you shouldn't be getting in heroic toc or the new icc 5 mans until you get a bit of gear from the easier heroics first. blizz has an internal gear checker with the lfg system that prevents new 80s from being thrown into h hor or h toc. if the tank dies in one of the heroics you are in and they aren't all "epic'd out" with an over 9000 gear score then it's either the healer's fault for not popping cd's or the tank's fault for pulling too much/not having a clue what to do.

my gm just hit 80 on his alt warrior so for the first week i hopped on my alt resto shammy and healed him through quite a bit of heroics. yes it was a little hard at first but we never wiped. he was in full blues from quests and my shammy has mostly all badge gear with 0 25 man raid items. i had a blast, i wasn't falling asleep with just having to earth shield the tank or trying to dps mobs, i was actually healing my butt off and i really enjoyed it. i would suggest getting a healer from the guild to help you out or try to stick with any healers in lfg you get that will heal you.

now on my dps warrior main, yes i would get a little worried with a low geared tank, mostly if they have less hp than me in my dps gear (28.7k). it means i will probably be tanking everything the whole run or dying quite a bit. but, due to the gear checker once again put in by blizz, this is prevented. either way i wouldn't leave, i'd stay and try to give any pointers if they aren't too familiar with tanking yet.

tl/dr: stick with lfg healers who will heal you/find a guildie healer. people who leave are probably bad players who need to get carried by 40k hp tanks.

Players are just used to the huge health pools now. They forget that when we first hit 80 tanks had a health pull of ~24k and are scared away by anything under 30. I'd heal you bro lol.

If you want to get a bit of a head start, I see you got crafted blue gear, now you can work on crafted epic gear. Mining is your friend, mine as much saronite as possible, and convert some saronite to titanium through an alchemist. As you get it, start transmutting your titanium into titansteel. Once you have enough, pick up crafted shield, boots, helm for starters. Run as fury in the weekly raids (10 mans) and see if you can pick up gear there.

Lol. I've had a few people do that to me when I drop into heroics with my DPS gear on. Their loss I guess.

I wouldn't spend a ton of cash on Blacksmithing Titansteel junk. At this point, with the price of titanium, a lot of the crafted stuff isn't worth it.
HOWEVER, I do recommend a few craftable upgrades. As they'll both last you quite a while.
A.Titansteel Shield Wall - http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42508 - 500gish
You'll be able to get rid of that crappy 166 shield and slap +18 stam on this bad boy. It'll last you well into TOC10.
B. Armor Plated Combat Shotgun - http://www.wowhead.com/?item=41168 - 500gish
This gun was pwn for a while, and will last you a long time. Until you have the badges to drop for the 232 throwing weapon that is.

Other suggestions:
A. Do the Argent Dailies for a few days. You can pick up a nice 200 level axe for rather cheap.

B. I see you're championing the Argent Crusade. Finish that to revered and get your Head Enchant
C. Wyrmrest Accord Next for the 200 Blue Chest. I remember the large amount of defense on it giving me a LOT of wiggle room with my other gear.

D. Your Enchanting is 15 points away from getting the +30 stam to rings. With all the randoms you're doing you should have the mats. PUSH IT.

I basically was going to say what PowerTaco said. You would really benefit from a new shield, and the Titansteel shield is cheap and effective and fairly difficult to replace (there's one in H CoS that's a tiny, tiny bit better - there's a nicer one in regular HoR, the most difficult 5 man to tank both gear-wise and skill-wise). The tank shotgun would last you a long, long time (the 245 badge weapon is slightly better but can easily wait until you've farmed the several hundred badges for all the other items you could use).

As far as badge loot goes, I would buy the ring first, followed by the awesome 245 off-set helm

edit: you know, I try not to comment on Warrior specs as I've never played one at 80, but I don't see the point of an Improved Cleave spec without the Cleave glyph to buff it

I'm pretty sure the blizzard gear score checker will do one of three things; at when the group has a lower GS add one or two high GS people to a the group and do a low/medium dungeon, group people of the same GS and do a medium dungeon, or group four goods GS and one low GS and let them be carried though a medium/hard dungeon.

When I started tanking I regularly got thown into PoS, & FoS with a GS of 3400. It scared the crap out of me.

Grab yourself a drums, a scroll, some cheap 40sta food and maybe another drums, pop em before entering, voila you just made a first impression of 27k+ instead of your unbuffed 24k. First impressions, and it shows you are dedicated to make up for your low lvl gear.

ive also heard it checks items in your inventory as well...so if you have a very geared dps set but a junk tank set and you queue as a tank, you could get h hor.

They mouse over you and see all blues and crappy gems is why. I agree with the above postings, run certain heroics and gain rep to gear up. Please look at the guides on this site. Your spec is way off. Parry is your friend in the arms tree.

I have had numerous tanks pop up for a HOR hc with under 30k hp so not sure bout that gear checker thing it dont seem to work very well.

i have about 28k hp in my dps gear (arms warrior) so its a little worrying sometimes when tank has less
but i will give anyone a fair shot

cleared pos hc yesterday with a tank who was only 30k fully buffed so it is do able if you use ur cooldowns well and you know ur stuff.

im afraid until u get over 30k hp u will get a lot of negativity in pugs

In our realmpool you get instant invites to groups if you queue as a tank. There are simply not enough tanks for all the groups. So after some wait time even a low geared tank will be assigned to an 25-raid-minmax-powerranger group.

No need to sweat. If you know how to tank and they don't pull any dick-moves let yourself get carried.

And don't let yourself get discouraged by people who want to be carried themrself and leave on you. It's their deserter debuff and not yours.

I would heal you any day on my pally after mocking you a lil' with my tank set

According to my initial reading on your armory, it looks quite fine for a new tank, but enchanting and gemming choice shows clearly that you either dont put in enough effort in getting them enchanted, or you dont yet have the eccomical flow to support proporly gemming and enchanting. It is generally much more accetable if you have low gear, but done full enchant/gemming, which shows that you put in effort into it, and it is just a mater of time. I can clearly understand that fully epic gemming, and maks enchants can be very expensive, especially in the beginning where you have relatively low gold income and a hight frequency of gear upgrades.
I will however suggest you to make sure you always have some sort of usefull enchantment on every piece you can do it on (shoulders/head are limmited by rep/honor though). Make sure to have the extra gem slot in belt, get heavy borean armor kits for slots where you cant find cheap and good enchantments, since those are often very cheap (mainly for gloves and boots, asuming you dont take one of the 2 standard boot enchats), and try to change some of the defence enchants for stamina enchants as soon as you have enough def to remained caped while doing so. I can especially recomend the 40 sta on bracers if you can effort it, since it is a large stat upgrade from 12 defence rating. Generally, I would probably say that your gearing priority should for now be defcap>hp>avoidance/treath, this is mostly due to the fact, that many healers nowaday can easily do tons of healing on you, but they are going to do it in big lumbs, so you need some hp to give them room, also getting a bit more hp at lower levels significantly increase how much the healers have to be on their toes and it also reduce the instant "omg, bad geared tank, run!" thingy. Therefor I would suggest you to gem toward sta (since that has the heightes return in gemming), and taking avoidance stats on the way (dodge/sta gem for red sockets and def/sta for yellow sockets) the red sockets can be debated, but I dont think that going for treath in those are a wise choice, since you are not on a point where additional survivability will be marginalised by the deficulity of heroics. In other words, skip expertise (some may disaggre, and feel free to correct me if it is that much different on warrs than dks), and go mainly for sta while keeping defence above cap, and please dont try to skip socket bonuses unless they are crap, those few extra points will help you, especially since you arent using epic gems.

Make sure to only go to the "old" heroics, and stay clear of toc 5 man heroics until you reach about 26-28k buffed hp and corresponeding stats on types (avoidance, treath, armor..) and above 28k for icc 5 man heroics minus HoR H, and wait till above 30k for HoR H, since there are so many people that fail there, and you would do youself a service not going there before you are ready, especially since so many people get scared by it, and dont want to come back to it, if they arent ready for it when they try it the first time.

Secondly, I probably should have said something before, but this is correct.
You should be spec'd something along the lines of 15/3/53. Because of the insane thread generated by Deep Wounds, the 15 points in arms really isn't negotiable. The only time you shouldn't be deep wounds is when your 10 man raid absolutely needs an imp-ap debuff/imp bs, or hard modes.
I've noticed a lot of new warriors have trouble with AOE threat. Especially fresh 80 tanks running with people decked in 264 and 251 gear. I personally tried the imp-Cleave myself, and found that it couldn't beat a Deep Wounds spec. If in fact you are having AOE thread issues I suggest the following spec with the matching glyphs:
15/3/53 w/ Glyph of Sunder Armor and Glyph of Cleaving.
Throw down your initial Thunderclap, then spam Sunder/Cleave till the cows come home.

So i log on this morning for some early morning AH viewing, and i see my buddy from waaay back Pre-WoTLK. I was crazy happy to just get these items from a good ole raiding buddy!! After being back for 3 weeks since being gone since sept, of '08 its kinda cool to know i was once considered a beast As for the enchants and gems....yes i am kinda on the broke side so im slowly getting them done one by one. I will be enchanting +stam in place of Defense on some items now since im def capped.
Mr. Powertaco im not really having threat issues honestly, but i will take your advise on my build. I just used a cookie cutter bulid from WowWiki just to get started. But i might just might go ahead and use that spec you showed me. Last night i ran LFG and again the healer looked at me and said once again "I aint healing him", well he drops grp and we get another healer. Right when he gets in i tell him the story.....he says, "Dude just go i got you". Well we ended up running 3-4 runs with the same grp i ended up getting http://www.wowhead.com/?item=49783 http://www.wowhead.com/?item=49853. I am now revered with ardent crusade and i got the head enchant sitting in my bank waiting for http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47678 once i get enough badges.
