## Armor Calcs (Mostly Warrior issues)

Okay Im working on something but havin a slightly dificult time getting the armor calcs working correctly. What I'm doing (and its working on pallies) is adding up the base armor from gear (excluding all bonus armor sources).

Then multibly that by .02 and .1 for the meta and talents. then add all that up and round off the decimals.

Next is the bonus armor on gear follow the same as above without the .1 from talents. Add all of these up with the agi armor value to get total armor. Only issue is on warriors (this one specifically) Im coming up 13 armor more than he actually has. The closest thing I can figure out is the meta is ignoring 650 armor (650*.02 = 13).

The same formula works fine on pallies I've armoried and tested a bunch of them. Can anyone help me out on this?

Base Gear= 22,928
Meta= 458.56
Talents= 2,292.8
Total= 25,679

B.Armor Gear= 2,954
Meta B.Armor= 59.08
Total= 3,013

Agi Armor= 316

Total Armor= 29,008
In-game Armor= 28,995
Difference= 13
Percentage= 65.57%

2. Ockham's razor tells me there's a rounding issue at the core of it.

With an armory I could delve deeper, though.

Epison from US-Uldaman would be the warrior in question. The rounding works fine on all the pally testing I've done just cant get this warrior working correctly.

the meta and toughness probably do not interactt multiplicatively, so you're using a 1,122 multiplier when it should be 1,12

You also have to bear in mind he's wearing 3 pieces of loot with bonus armor in the item budget. AFAIK these are unaffected by the meta and Toughness.

Yes, but he's already mentioned he's taking that into account.

7. If you applied the meta bonus to bonus armor, that would be a source of error, it behaves like the Toughness talent, only applying to non-bonus armor on gear that normally has armor (neck, rings, weapons, and trinkets with armor count as bonus armor as well).

Otherwise it could just be a rounding error depending on whether or not you rounded early or in some odd places.

Here is what you did wrong ...

Base Gear= 22,928
Talents= 2,292.8
Total= 25,220.8
Metagem= 504.416
Total= 25,725(.216) <--- Round down to Integer
B.Armor Gear= 2,954
Agi Armor= 316
Total Armor= 28,995

In-game Armor= 28,995
Difference= 0

Total Armor = Base Gear * (1+Talents) * (1+Meta) + B.Armor + Agi Armor

Okay so I had the armor calc way off. Odd it was working for pallies okay. Thanks guys!

Dumb luck that the talent - meta you forgot was the same as the meta bonus you added on other armor
