    DK tanks and quel'delar

Having a lot of trouble deciding which Quel'delar to take
Quel'Delar, Might of the Faithful - Item - World of Warcraft
    or
Quel'Delar, Ferocity of the Scorned - Item - World of Warcraft

Both swords are great and I'm leaning towards Ferocity; but the extra stam and nice chunk of strength on Might has me doubting my choice.

Might of the Faithful, increase in threat because of the extra strength.

I have a better tanking weapon so I'll be getting might for my dps set.

164 str, 164 stam, 99 crit and 91 haste against...
    144 agi, 136 stam, 99 crit, 197 ap and 91 ArP.

Ferocity one provides agi-based dodge and melee crit(does it work on d&d?death coil?), and 91 ArP, while losing 131 AP, losing str-based parry, 28 stam and 91 haste.

    See what you want more...

iirc you cannot take the mace unless you are a class that is unable to use swords.

That doesn't make any sense, Ryofu. Why would they make such a restriction?

str > agi for dks, regardless if dps or tank

Rawr has the AGI version of Quel'Delar ( Quel'Delar, Ferocity of the Scorned - Item - World of Warcraft ) higher rated than the STR version ( Quel'Delar, Might of the Faithful - Item - World of Warcraft ).

It ranks higher for Mitigation, Survival and Threat.

If I switch to the DPS model it also ranks higher for dps.

It has so much less stamina, I'd take a big hit making it feel like a downgrade from the Tyrannical Beheader. It seems so odd to me when "strength above all else" is the model preached for blood DKs.

Is anyone else having the same problem or can offer me some advice? I'm staring at the quest completion screen...

Death Knight DK tanks and quel'delar

Have the stats for these changed since the original post because it seems like a no-brainer that Might would be the way to go? It has more Stam plus the Str translates into more Threat and Parry.

I'm surprised that Rawr would list the Agi weapon as better. Am I missing something?

The more i look the more it seems Rawr gives me AGI as my major stat - far and away surpassing everything else.

I can only assume that the dodge and armor are the survival stats, and, given my base crit of only 10%, significant threat from the added crit rating.

In the end I went for the strength one (so much for trusting the sims) and the really big change I noticed is in my full raid gear (stamina over all else) my rune strikes crit for over 6k. They are so huge that I am really wary about blowing RP on deathcoils as I need to always make sure I have enough for each RS.
