Need some boring maths doing.

Okay, here is the problem.

Until I get a better trinket I am split between using
Darkmoon Card: Greatness
or
Je'Tze's Bell

My second trinket is Solace of the Defeated and is not a problem in choosing to use.



Here we go, Darkmoon Card: Greatness increases total mana by 1545
10mp5 non casting and
5mp5 while casting
also crit chance by 0.62%.
Then with the proc of 33mp5 every 45secs (from the +300 int).
So in a 7minute fight (that we will say I am always casting) 1545 + 420 (from the 5mp5) + 924 (from proc) = 2889

Je'Tze's Bell increases SP by 106
125mp5 every 45secs (from proc)
So in 7 minutes = 3500

Now yes Je'Tze's Bell gives me the more mana over a fight, but is this and the 106sp better than less mana but more crit? 0.62% isn't much after all.

Just from me looking I could go either way- perhaps I should have my greatness worn for when I am just walking around to show off my mana pool and use Je'Tze's Bell for actual fights??

Are you including Replenishment? The Greatness card would give you 1545 x 0.01 x 12 x 7 = 1298 mana from the 90 int and about another 1733 from Replenishment while having the procc. And then another 370 from 1 Mana Tide.

So if you have mana problems then use the Greatness card otherwise the Bell.

oh something else, BoK would also increase the actual mana coming from greatness ?

Yes since it increases intellect by 10%.

I used to use the DMC:Greatness in my disc set, I highly recommend that you set up Power Aura's for the proc then sync Hymn of Hope or/and your Shadowfiend with it to maximise the mana returned from it!
Only in that way you will really exploit it to the max .

I like getting both SP and Regen on my trinkets, so I would suggest the Bell. Je'Tze's Bell & Solace of the Defeated are the trinkets I'm currently running.
