    Humorous Preview of ICC

As I was scouring for the best fight captures for my guides, I stumbled on this gem. I laughed throughout the entire video. Kudos to Yogscast for being damn funny! Proof that sometimes we have to laugh at the ridiculousness of the game we play .

Sindragosa looks like a regular dull dragon fight

How dull. They could have done something truely epic with her. Oh well

From the PTR videos I've seen it actually looks fairly cool I think. There is the usual "don't get cleaved, breathed on or hit by the tail" dragonishness to it of course but there's also a couple of neat abilities.

From how it seems, a certain proportion of your raid (looked like 5 of 25 or so) need to stand in the centre when she takes off into the air phase, which freezes them in huge iceblocks which must then be DPSed down before she lands again. The reason to have them frozen in the centre is that you actually use your own team mates as a "pillar" to get out of Line of Sight of her Deep Breath (like Sapph but with a little more to do than simply hiding behind the random raid member affected).

As a result, this phase is a neat balancing act between needing them in iceblocks to protect you and DPSing them quick enough to make sure they're free for Phase 1 again - getting the timing right for these will surely be a nice challenge I'd have thought.

The second thing is a huge AoE Nova that radiates from her belly - she appears to periodically cast a pull on the entire raid (kind of like a Death Grip on all the ranged at once) which she then follows with the big AoE of death so people need to be ready when this happens to then immediately turn and run out again but making sure they don't clip cleave or tail range whilst doing so. This isn't a particularly unique ability (Cyanigosa has a teleport thing just like it) but it does seem to be by far the most deadly iteration of it that I know of.

At least, that's how it looked from the PTR - I could be wrong about the exact mechanics and of course anything can change before she appears on Live but it does look to me to have a couple of interesting additions to the standard dragon fight.

The trash before her is also two named Frost Wyrms, each with unique abilities. My gut feeling is that Heroic Mode is an Obsidian Sanctum-esque multi-dragon fight, which would certainly give it a little more of an "epic" feel

EDIT: Here's a good quality video of the fight (with Vent chat rather than horrendous Eurobeat, heh): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buCo8JSXzLM

    I retract my previous comment.

Though it could have still been more epic... QQ

My favorite fight that has been on PTR so far, followed very closely by dreamwalker though.

For sure, it looks like a good fight now that I've watched a kill video.

But I dunno, after seeing Gunship Battle it lacks a certain...something.

  11. I thought the gunship fight was brilliant. @.@

Unless you are just saying one more thing would have made it that much better.

Overall, this place looks amazingly sweet. I can't wait to see everything for myself.
