Thread: Hiding spell tool tips?

  1. Hiding spell tool tips?

So, I have tried several tool tip addons, but they all seem to be about packing more information about a mob into a fancier-looking tool tip, which is fine as far as it goes, but honestly I just want to be able to completely hide the spell tool tips during combat. Pitbull has a "hide tool tips during combat" but it doesn't effect the spell ones. Any suggestions?

Edit: No luck with tinytip, and cowtip seems to be messing with pitbull for some reason. Thanks for any suggestions!

If you're using bartender you can tell it to hide tooltips if in combat.

  3. try tiptac. i believe they have what youre looking for.

  4. Thanks guys. I actually installed tiptac yesterday after my post and it is much easier to configure. (I actually wish I could move the spell/ability tips to the same position as mouseover tips, but that doesn't seem possible in tiptac (I must be the only person who finds it obnoxious that abilities I know in my sleep keep poping up their names and obscuring my other abilites).

Bartender did the trick though for in combat, thanks! And tiptac is probably what I will stick with for my tip mod.

    No worries

I had a few issues with Tiptac and swapped to Cowtip, worked fine for me.

Are you using cowtip with pitbull? Pitbull refused to load for me for whatever reason why I tried cowtip, which sorta killed its usefulness for me.

Cowtip is a lot more configurable I noticed when I tried the addon. However, I switched back to TipTac in the end. Both offer the same ability to disable whichever tooltips you want to have disabled during combat and such.
