Thread: [Skullcrusher H-US-PVP] <Ludicrous Speed> 2/5 ToGC 7/9 Uld HM - 3 raids/week

  1. [Skullcrusher H-US-PVP] <Ludicrous Speed> 4/5 ToGC 7/9 Uld HM - 3 raids/week

Ludicrous Speed is currently looking for a few skilled raiders to join us on US-Skullcrusher to finish progressing through ToGC/Ulduar, and prepare for the upcoming Icecrown Citadel raid instance then the Cataclysm expansion beyond that. We are a progression-oriented 3-day raiding guild currently at 4/5 in ToGC and 7/9 for hard modes in Ulduar (Firefighter and Yogg+0 remain).

    About Us:

We've been around for almost four years now under the same core leadership. We're a proven formula with a track record for success over the course of the years. Of special note is the fact that we only raid three days a week, yet progress through content at a rate similar to many five or six day guilds.

We are a guild of adults with lives outside of the game and we like it that way. Since we only raid three days, we take our time very seriously and expect everyone to play to the best of their ability. At the core, we aim for our raids to have a friendly atmosphere, creating an environment that fosters strong morale, which we believe is the crucial foundation to a successful raiding team. We aren't one of those guilds that expects you to get yelled at and take it when you make a mistake. We understand that mistakes happen, and we understand that you will learn from them. If you don't learn from them, you will not raid with us. It's as simple as that. We aren't going to yell at people and belittle them for making mistakes. We'll keep criticisms private, but we'll keep an attentive eye on things to make sure errors are not repeated. Above all we understand that everyone is here to have fun, of which there is no short supply in LS. We're the type of guild that has annual Las Vegas trips, and plenty of out-of-game contact. We're in it as friends, family, co-workers, etc.

Our raiding schedule (All times listed as EST):

    Tuesday - 8:15 PM to 12:30 AM
    Thursday - 8:15 PM to 12:30 AM
    Sunday - 6:15 PM to 12:30 AM

The occasional Monday raid will sometimes be thrown in there, but these are optional and are typically used to finish off something we were close to completing the previous night.

    What we’re looking for:

    • Mage
    • Feral Druid (primarily as DPS)
    • Resto Druid
    • Holy Priest

However, exceptional players of any role are always encouraged to apply. If you are the type of player that consistently performs very well at your gear level (whatever that may be), then we’d be interested in hearing from you.

As a member of Ludicrous Speed you would be expected to:

    • Demonstrate a working knowledge of your class and spec. You should know how to optimize your role in raids through theorycrafting and empirical evidence. We run a live World of Logs parse of every raid and expect members to be refer to it to help better themselves.
    • Show up to raids on time with the proper consumables for your class. We don't half-ass bosses just because current content is easier. We expect people to give raiding 100% of their effort, even on the farm stuff. We're a guild with many people that care about competing for realm firsts, earning the hardest achievements, and just playing our best for the sake of being the best we can. If you aren't willing to match that effort, you're not going to be a good fit.
    • Be able to communicate effectively. You should be ready to discuss relevant raiding topics in Ventrilo, in-game chat, and on our forums. We expect and utilize member feedback.
    • Treat your fellow guild members with respect.
    • Maintain a monthly attendance record of at least 75%.
    • Most importantly - Show up to raids with a good attitude. How you present yourself will rub off on others. While we understand there are frustrating times to be had in raiding, we expect our members to rise above and maintain a positive outlook. If you can't do this, we're probably not right for you.
