Gearing advice once I hit 80

Hello all,

I am currently Level 78 and have been getting the thought of tanking for my guild whenever the main tank isn't able to get on to run instances. I was looking at the World Of Warcraft forums and came across this post:

What I am wondering is that, is it worth my time and money to get those gears, or should I stick with DPS for the mean time, run Daily Heroics, and get geared up from there?

Right now would be the best time to start gearing to be a tank. Put together a set and switch over once you have enough gear to actually tank.

Sounds like a plan then! I'll try to get most of my gear from Polar's easy pre-Naxx plate tank gear guide through questing and hopefully run some instances for the instance gears.
