39k Unbuffed? First, congrats! Second, what suffered? I can get over the feeling that you might have gimped yourself somewhere to become an extreme HP bag. If you didn't gimp yourself, double-grats! lol However, to answer your question, I really don't think there's such a thing as "enough" health as long as you didn't cripple yourself elsewhere.

46k health with around 50% avoid in combat raid buffed is where im at

39.2k unbuffed is not 46k raidbuffed. Should be around 50k.
I don't know what class you're playing. I'm on a warrior with 39.5k hp, 55% avoidance and 30.6k armor ,all unbuffed, and I'm doing just fine.
Nice, I just hit 40.2k HP unbuffed myself. I think my stats are pretty well balanced, i dont usually have a prob with most fights. Threat is a non issue, and avoidance is pretty good. Too much HP shouldnt be a concern to be honest,
