I have been gathering gear and i think its pretty good. I can have 26 expertise if i want just liking those uld 25m shoulders pretty well. I have stoneguard as well for a weapon never had a chance for the other weapons. I am my guilds main offtank i guess you could say. I tank the adds a lot and in 10m stuff i tank bosses and our pally picks up the adds. Im just wondering what i should look into for upgrades if anything at all really. We have killed the beasts in coliseum. Up to thorim on 25m uld and mim on 10m uld.

I would upgrade cloaks if the chance presents itself: Cloak of the Makers - Item - World of Warcraft or Cloak of the Iron Council - Item - World of Warcraft or Saronite Animus Cloak - Item - World of Warcraft

Next issue is your spec... you are bouncing all over the place right now. I would suggest going with
15/3/53 for threat
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
or
15/3/53 for threat but with 2 minute Shield Wall / Last Stand

5/10/56 for survivability

Beyond that just keep gearing up in 25m content as available and the new TOC stuff

Spec - Imp Heroic strike point should be reallocated. Imp Disciplines is a possibility.
Helmet - Meta should be 32 stam + 2% armor.

As a warrior you really, really need to get to 26 expertise. You should look at some of your gear bearing hit and swap it out for expertise gear, provided its not tier gear. Failing that you have some prismatics to play with, either as 20 expertise or 10 exp/15 stam. Right now it hasn't bitten you in the backside because you are either doing trash or boss adds, none of which are likely level 83. If you are forced to do so, you will be toasted between holding threat and being parry-gibbed.

Well i dont have a prob with threat at all even on bosses. I have been using the +21 def meta to get a little more def and be able to use both my stam trinkets. I have the 25m naxx shoulders with expertise on them and can be at 26 with those one. It drops my health a little but not much. I chose my spec based on the guilds MT and guild leader i used to use 15/5/51. I have thought about changing spec but dont really know what i wanna spec too ATM.

So i should drop the block rating BV cloak i have the valor badge one as well in my bank. I have a full BV set as well. Im using it to get a little more block rating at like 20% so drop it and have like 17% block rating?

I will play with my spec tonight to see what i can come up with. I dont wanna do a deep wounds build for progression but if im on adds then would it be worth it.

BV items (including BV metagem) is great for a trash set, but for a t8.5 helm thats more a boss set (unless you have something comparable for another set?).
The only reason to have BV is anything other than trash is threat through SS, and even then you should have enough from strength and tier pieces. The platinum mesh cloak is a decent cloak for you in non-trash situations.
Block Rating is to be ignored (to keep it brief).
Your defense is at 546 skill, losing 21 def rating shouldn't take you under def cap.

'Not having a problem' doesn't mean you are doing what you could be as a tank, could just mean you are playing with undergeared/poor dps and it could vary on gimmick fights such as hardmode hodir with ranged dropping 12-15k dps

1. definitely change to 32 stam/armor meta, def/block isn't worth it
2. should always be 26+ exp if at all possible, T8 shoulders off 10m Thorim are fairly easy to get
3. block is still a meh stat at best unless doing a full block gimmick set so yes replace your cloak
4. You need to decide what you are doing with your spec. If you are going for threat Deep Wounds is BASELINE, if you are going survivability then only have the 5 points in deflection and use the rest more efficiently

Going half/half as you are now with 7 points in arms is selling yourself short as a tank. Glyphing for last stand without Imp Disciplines or glyph of Shield Wall seems like a poor choice.

5 points in Cruelty is not advised as a prot warrior because it doesn't leave you enough points to get deep wounds (the main point of getting cruelty in the first place) if you get everything you need in the Prot Tree. So basically decide if you want

Well i respecced last night. I have changed myh boots out and got to 26 exp. I dont like the spec im in though it kinda bothers me my threat went down in our 10m uld last night. I have been doing like 5k+ TPS depending on the buffs and such in heroic dungeons. I dont like this deep wounds spec though i bet the AOE threat is little better. I dont like missing the 5/5 shield spec though so gotta figure something out.

Deep wounds provides highest threat so I expect you did it wrong. At first glace I see you only have 1 point in Focused Rage, have 2 points in Imp Spell Reflect, 2 points in Imp Disciplines but only glyph Last Stand.

Switch to this spec:

- If you use the exact spec I linked above you will also be able to put 4 points in Shield Spec as well.
- Focused Rage is one of your most important talents, make sure to have 3 in there
- Spell reflect is a meh talent that is only useful in very limited situations
- Imp Disciplines is poor choice if you aren't glyphing for Shield Wall/Last Stand to go with it and if threat is a concern I wouldn't do it.
- Glyph of shockwave is kind of nice for trash but if you are more concerned with single targets/bosses you would be better served with Blocking/Devastate/Vigilance for your major glyph spots.

Damn man you make me feel like a newb. I kinda rushed my spec last night seeing as how i only got off work like 10mins before raid time. I havent seen much use for imp spell reflect but our prot warrior GM says its a great talent. I like the shockwave gylph im gonna get the devastate glyph tonight. I also like the looks of this spec Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft I just dont know what to do with the other points will you lead me in the right direction plx.
