Ok so my guild recently told me that my hp was too high for a DK tank and that i need to stack more avoidance instead of stamina. Personally i am not sure if this is the best idea. the reason being this: avoidance can fail. if you dont have enough HP and you get a string of hard hits your dead. I curently have the following stats unbuffed after taking my guilds advice:
8.68% miss chance (not including raid bosses built in 5% miss chance)

Basically im asking for an EXTREMLY GOOD DK TANK for advice, i am not really looking for advice from people who are working to clear naxx or even 10 ulduar.
Bosses right now hit HARD, in order to survive, a decent tank moving through end game is forced to stack stam. Its all about the 2 hit buffer, being able to live through 2 hits before heals. I personally have 38k hp unbuffed so I would encourage yo to keep on stackin'
i have tanked most of 25 ulduar so i may sound like a noob by asking this: how much stamina should i have unbuffed? i am just looknig for anything to back up my idea that the added avoidance isnt the way to go.
i would but my dps gear is showed right now, basically here is the deal, i am almost completly 25 ulduar geared, by changing my rune to swordshattering i had to gem a full 125 extra defense... that took a large chunk out of my hp. i listed my tanking stats above, that is the best i can do for you right now
unfortunatly i dont have much gear with expertise, its sad really. but i joined this guild and i have to raid with them for months before i get any kind of loot... basically i get hand me downs... hard to say: i want this over that. but if i take away my exp gems then i will generate crap threat, and cause more damage to myself from the parry haste mechanic.
for threat (this was my dps spec) i didnt redo my glyphs yet but i will most likely keep 1 or 2 of these. in blood spec i have always had tps issues, thats why i preffer frost more (on hodir with dps pullnig 10k dps the closes person to me only had 41% of my threat at the end of the fight.
Stamina always wins on progression fights and you get more avoidance with gear anyway. Its easier to heal big incoming damage then rely on RNG avoidance. The World of Warcraft Armory

Shadow it sounds like your guild doesn't know what they are talking about, why do you even stick with this guild? You don't have gear yet? and you have to be around for months? sounds like you need to leave them like a bad habit. I heard logic is good on horde side not sure of the others..oh and core I had a friend go into their guild. good luck.
