I'm currently guildless, so I'm doing the slow and steady grind of daily heroics for my Emblems of Triumph. I'm considering the Clutch of Fortification (35 emblems) or the Libram of Defiance (25 emblems) as my first purchase.

I will go for the tanking helm. It's stats are way better then T9.

I'm torn to be honest. The ret libram procs from Vengeance and grants 200 strength which if I understand correctly translates into almost 400 block. I know block isn't what it used to be for paladins and that dodge proc on Defiance is hot too.
To be honest though I will be saving my emblems for the armor pieces before I start decking out with trinkets.

DO NOT GET THE NEW IDOL.
The 25 man gerenal vezax idol is now on the vendor for conquest badges. When you factor in kings and the agi and dodge recalibration you are getting 170 agi vs 200 dodge. That gives you armor and crit as well and is much easier to obtain.

Really don't know what to do, Guild priorities on the Trophy of the Crusade(s) that drop from 25man go by Activeness, I'm 3rd on the active list. So I'll be getting one next reset.
Might be only fair that I save badges for a piece of Tier 9.5. Hands & Shoulders are only 45, have decent stats. Could be the best option.
Libram is so tempting though.
Wow, I completely neglected the Tier gear because I presumed that it would be outrageously expensive. Guess I was wrong. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

From what I've seen this is the Best in Slot ranged weapon for a warrior tank. So i think I will go for this one. You will replace your T9 with T.9.5 sooner or later so these seals 30 would be wasted. You better purchase the items first, that your going to buy anyways because its BiS.

Going for the shoulders first. Blue socket, rather cheap and quite an upgrade over T8. I'd love to get an updated BiS gear list for this tier though, since after that piece I'm not quite sure. Maybe gloves, since they're also pretty great?

Going for T9 shoulders since Yogg-saron has not dropped a single protector's tokens and I'm still running with 10man shoulders. Just gotta bid like a man for that trophy next week.

Probably the non-t9 tanking helm. It seems perfectly itemized and has huge defense.

As for me, I got the first Trophy for us, so I'm probably going to get for the 245 Shoulders first.
