I would change the word disheartening, to "Drop kick in the Junk".
Worst 2P bonus ever.
Not sure how legitimate this is since 3.2 hasn't even hit PTR yet but I saw this post:
Patch 3.2 T9 set bonuses and relics
I skipped down to the warriors, saw our 2 piece bonus and proceeded to flip off my monitor. Following closely on the heels of GC's post which in effect said: "yes we know prot warrior rage mechanics & dps are broken (better gear = less rage = worse dps & threat) and prot warriors are under-powered in ulduar but we don't want to change it because there are too many warriors left over from pre-wrath" this really seems like a cruel joke.
Very disheartening; though I will say they seem to be at least attempting to cover for the currently broken state of block mechanics with a bandaid 4 piece bonus.2 piece: Decreases the cooldown on your Intervene ability by 5 sec.
4 piece: Decreases the cooldown on your Shield Block ability by 20 sec.
Thoughts?
EDIT: Does anyone seriously use intervene constantly?

I use intervene a lot... But I've rarely spammed the button only to realise I didn't have it available to me. Then again, isn't T9 content designed like one big arena fight to begin with? Perhaps there's more merit to it then we think - however in raw tanking power it is looking rather underwhelming. I bet it'll change though.
EDIT: The four piece though... Block rating is like obsolete then? But goodness - That'll be like Shield block up every 20 seconds? And if they make the 20% magical damage mitigation on shield block a core mechanic... I mean it is dull, again to solve stuff by a set bonus, but still... That'd be an uptime of 50% on shield block right? now that's good - makes 5/5 shield specialisation worth it for the rage perhaps? Right. I need more coffee.

Ridiculous - nothing more to say.

Shield specialization never ever worth it for the rage gained.
With this 4pc bonus, and doubled amount of block value, the direction where Blizzard push us is clear.
The 2pc bonus is just out of comment, pure loss. Something like your block value add's up as armor will work, but only if magic reduction become core for block.
I personaly hope that 2pc set will be changed.
There is no respect for free.
But until they won't completly overhaul the block mechanic (or even shieldblock), shieldblock is useless without T8 4p bonus. And now remember a few days ago: "It feel's strange to buff the most popular tank". Which makes both boni useless. And I can't see why doubleing the blockvalues should help, because no one will ever prefer block gear over avoid/eh, as long as it doesn't scale drastically better (I think of about 40% blocked dmg in full block gear).

A number of the set bonuses are very lacklustre, hopefully they're just place holders whilst they think of some better ones.
The models for gear itself is also unfinished so there is at least some hope for change.
The only time I used intervene when I tanked was in BC when someone would pull aggro offa me. Quickest way to get that aggro back was to intervene and taunt. When Taunt gained range it was more or less useless, only used for something like people being targeted in UP during Skadi.
The point of this statement? It's that I'd have to agree. Intervene is largely useless now in Wrath. It's a very situation ability that has little use in a normal raid situation. These insipid warrior updates are just a source of frustration at this point.

times i use intervene is to catch up with the blicking mages in front of me when we running back to a boss after a wipe :P
I ve been a bit disappointed by the T8 boni, so to say. But the T9 just made me laugh... or should I cry?
50% uptime of SB reminds me far too much of good ol' 70. and it's a time I dont want back!
T7 set boni where useful and good. 2pcs = tps, 4pcs cooldown boost.
They also seemed to be more or less the same between classes.
T8 boni seem bad in comparison. 2pcs provides much less of a tps boost, and 4pcs provides a small survivability boost.
The set boni for T8 are not similar between classes, with the 4pcs warrior bonus sticking out like a sore thumb.
T9...oh dear.
Thank you so much for decreasing the cooldowns on two abilities that I don't use on a regular basis. =]
Also, looks like there is only one feral set both for dps and tanking with boni suitable for both merged in the set, so druids seem to get the shorter taunt, an improvement to barkskin and more tps.
Pls join my petiton against this set piece @ World of Warcraft (en) Forums -> T9 Set piece Bonus for tanks cry
If the new raids are supposed to be "Arena Raids", I assume I will use Intervene a lot.
My arena team (as weak as we are) is predicated on me saving our big DPS from getting focused on, then peeling the opposing dps off so he can pewpew. Intervene is always on CD.
I use intervene at the start of a fight when someone else is tanking so I can get some rage from being hit and to lessen the wave of initial damage. I also use it to lower other dps's threat whenever I'm not tanking... but these are situational and not conventional uses of it. Honestly before ranged taunt intervene was great, now's its a gimmick. A reduced cooldown is just a waste of a set bonus.
As for shield block... I mean its cute that half the time I'd have 3.5-4k block value... but still... c'mon.
At least I'll be looking for pieces based on their stats now instead of what completes the set. oh well.

Warrior T9 Tank 2P Bonus - Decreases the cooldown on your Taunt ability by -2.0 sec.
Warrior T9 Tank 4P Bonus - Decreases the cooldown on your Shield Block ability by -10.0 sec
This is the new values as of the PTR update. However It still doesnt seem to remotely make up for the loss of the 4pc T8.
