Alrighty folks, we've got a new patch coming in and there's a lot of debate about the numbers. Here's a sequel to the original "Avoidance!" thread. The purpose of the original thread was to show that tanks in very similar gear have very similar avoidance levels. Now, lately Rawr's been doing something very mushy with the DK avoidance, giving him around... 41%. That is very clearly wrong. No response from the people in charge, but I really want people to see what kind of numbers we can expect in the coming patch. This time around, I'm not going to include avoidance and let's all just say they're "pretty darn close" and not worry about it. Heck, go ahead and say it's 60% for all of them. The focus of this thread will instead be on things like health, mitigation, and block value/rate. The gear is all very similar, and I'm going to list twice as many profiles to account for similar gear and ALSO a tier gear set.
Druids are the special ones and get a tier gear and a pvp gear set. There's a lot of assumptions made here, but the point is that it'll hopefully provide a clearer picture as to where the tanks stand instead of guesstimating and making up numbers.
I'll add a block set for pallies and warriors if they make some kind of change to block. Doubling block value will have a negligible effect on these numbers, as none have any block value items. Also note that Inspiration/Guardian Spirit has changed, so the armor numbers are going to be a lot lower than the ones from the other thread. Also... epic gems! JC buff is included, the prismatic nerf is not. Sorry, too lazy. =/
Here's the gear for each plate tank:
Helm of the Faceless
Bronze Pendant of the Vanir
Shoulderplates of the Deconstructor
Breastplate of the Timeless
Indestructible Plate Girdle
Legplates of the Endless Void
Spiked Deathdealers
Mimiron's Inferno Couplings
Handguards of Revitalization
The Leviathan's Coil
Fate's Clutch
Heart of Iron
Royal Seal of King Llane
Titanskin Cloak
DKs are using Aesir's Edge. Warriors and Paladins are using Sorthalis, Hammer of the Watchers and The Boreal Guard. For the tier sets, each of the plate tanks will replace their helm, shoulders, gloves and chestpiece to get their set bonuses.
Here's the druid set. Yes, I know druids are extremely flexible in regards to their trinket slots.
Garona's Guise
Mark of the Unyielding
Conqueror's Nightsong Shoulderpads
Conqueror's Nightsong Raiments
Soul-Devouring Cinch
Conqueror's Nightsong Legguards
Runed Ironhide Boots
Mechanist's Bindings
Conqueror's Nightsong Handgrips
The Leviathan's Coil
Fate's Clutch
Heart of Iron
Defender's Code
Titanskin Cloak
Origin of Nightmares
The druid pvp set has furious pvp gear in every armor slot and for his weapon. He's also using Royal Seal of King Llane for the large amount of stamina. He'll ignore the parry use effect, I guess.
Full raid buffs means full. raid. buffs. New inspiration is added next to the passive DR for ease of use. The second set of numbers are things that are different. So if you only see a few stats listed, it means the rest is the same.
