How will I ever drop Essence of Gossamer?

Hi guys,

I just got Furnace Stone from Ignis in Ulduar and it's a really great trinket but it's made me wonder how I will ever justify dropping Essence of Gossamer when the time comes.

If you managed to go without the huge amount of HP it provides, what did you replace it with?

Previously I was using the Heroism badge trinket instead of the Ignis one.

Probably with the better one from 25 man Ignis.

Oh wow, didn't see that one before.
Well I guess in a few months - currently I only run 10 man Ulduar with my guild and we mostly PuG Naxx 25.

EDIT: Ok looking through the loot tables for 10-mans again I found this: Royal Seal of King Llane - Item - World of Warcraft
Didn't see any of these before - that'll teach me to wait until full loot tables are known. :P

Heart of Iron - Item - World of Warcraft and Royal Seal of King Llane - Item - World of Warcraft are the stam trinkets in Ulduar. The General's Heart - Item - World of Warcraft and Furnace Stone - Item - World of Warcraft for avoidance.

Or with the Monarch Crab from JC if you have that, its got more potential stamina and a nice Use effect. Gossamers proc is pretty useless.

Ill reckon the best combination is 1 stamina 1 avoidance trinket. Ill stick with gosammer till i got another stam one.

Heart of Iron outranks Royal Seal so much its not even funny. Surely it's not easier to down Yogg 10 then Ignis 25?

Mind you, having both would make an ungoddly amount of health, and proccing both effects at once is alot of avoidance.

JC trinket+2 prismatic stam gems.

Monarch Crab has a blue slot, never waste a Dragon's Eye on a slot that lets you put in pure stamina anyway.

You can live without Essence of Gossamer.

Stamina allthough a powerful stat isn't the be all and end all of being a tank you can justify losing a stam trinket when you know you aren't in any serious danger of being dropped easily to lower health. Its kinda difficult to decide and also depends on the quality of trinket.

It also depends on the bosses damage style, stamina is great against magical damage but not so hot against constant fast physical damage.
