How accurate is maxdps.com?

I've recently discover this website and while punching in my stats and all, item recommendations changed. Should I trust in the recommendations the website churned out? Also, if I change an item to it's recommendation, obviously the website doesn't take that into account. How would one go about in previewing the switching of items?

MaxDPS.com does useless things like factor in item level into its calculations. It's nowhere near as accurate as it would like you to think.
