Thread: Which "Back"?

  1. Which "Back"?

    Hi there
    I've a question.
I've looted this back: Cloak of Armed Strife
Now i've this one: Cloak of the Enemy
    And this is my char.

What do you advise to me? Change back and change some gems 'cause my def cap is lost? Also loosing hp :P

    Any advice is welcome.

    Thankyou all.

Since your defense is at 540, I would stay with the Cloak of Enemy because keeping your def capped, is the most important.

Enchant your shield with +20 Deff and use the epic cloak, it's better than the blue one. I would enchant my Hands with +15 exp and the +18 Stam on Legs is a pretty poor enchant, get one of these Frosthide Leg Armor - Item - World of Warcraft.

If you're low on Deff you can also enchant your Breat with +22 Deff. And please don't use Parrygems.

exp enchant for a tank is a very poor choice, and wouldnt benifit much from it, it would be recomended a 2% threat 10parry rating (Armsman) enchant instead.

n.b. not saying exp isnt a useless stat for a tank, which its not, since it acts like a second "hit rating" stat which will reduce the chance to get your atks parried or dodged. but in this case the threat/parry rating enchant outweights that of the exp one.

if you cant afford the Armsman enchant, then an agility enchant (15agil) might be your best alternative.

Armsman is actually a rather poor enchant, it gives a ridiculously small amount of the worst avoidance stat, and small threat bonus without increasing damage. 15 expertise rating is about 0.46% less parries and dodges (before dodge cap), so while it gives less threat than armsman, it also affects your damage output and gives you a better chance of important attacks hitting - like first high aggro move on new mob etc.

I would go with blue cloak, more stamina outweights the armor on epic imo, and more def gives you more comfort in swapping equipment.
